Its a great mixer as long you dont use USB
The sound is ok but when using usb it creates a static noise which is unacceptable from a company like allen & heath. I asked some people I know and they told me the same and has to be something with the electricity but maybe not so I wont waste any time looking into it. There is not also send return which is quite dissapointing. If you dont use the usb and dont want to use effects then its great.

Good nicely built unit
A very compact and quality mixer that you can use for both live-sound applications and basic recording work.
The mixer itself is very well specified for its price, and having long-throw faders on such a small desk is a real luxury.
Because in every indepth review you can read mainly the positives of the unit, I will write some minuses:
- I usually only record voiceovers for video productions, so the 2 channels offered is fine for me, if you are looking to multitrack you'll have to look elsewhere and spend more a lot more money.
- the USB interfacing could be improved.
- as always there are compromises necessary to reach the selling price, such as the lack of EQ bypass switches.
Overall - its probably one of the best mixers for the price.

Solid quality mixer
Simple, direct, clean and solid mixer.
If I had to find an issue is the faders: compared to the knobs, they feel a bit shaky.
This mixer can well serve you as the brain for your home studio or your live setup.

Does what it says on the tin
This mixer has all of the features that you would need but if I was to buy it again, I would consider some small scale effects as reverb is the missing element that I would not live without. There are some buttons on the device that are below the surface which make them very hard to press without the nib of a pen to press which is really not ideal, hence why I have docked scores on handling and quality.

Great mixer
I bought this mixer as a kind of router in my studio. I now can connect: my guitar, bass, 2 keyboards, mic, turntables set, extra RCA plug, computer etc. then I insert a space echo delay Boss so I can add some Delay to any track when I'm ready. The quality is great. As I did my research on youtube etc. the man press on the knobs and it's not everything that move down because it's not everything on the same board like on the cheap mixer. This one every track is different like the bigger boys. Very happy so far. A good buy.

Can’t go wrong with this one
The Allen&Heath quality is surely there. Perfect for home studios and small gigs. I/O’s for mostly every use cases, EQ and sub groups are great and it even doubles as a sound card. Awesome bang for buck without compromising on quality. Great looks and build quality. You will never regret buying this mixer!

Good solid mixer
This has been out on a couple of small theatre events so far and I've been very impressed by the build quality, usability and performance. It's a step up from the Soundcraft EPM-6 we had before. Litttle details like smooth action, generously-sized faders, and an attractive styling make the mixer a pleasure to use and there is plenty of flexible routing. The USB interface was an unexpected bonus when I had to use a laptop supplied by someone else which suffered from mains loop noise. Plug the cable in and a decent USB interface was patched in in seconds.

Excellent Mixer
This is an all-round excellent mixer. Feature heavy! The 4 AUX channels are very useful, and are superior to most competitors. The USB audio interface is very useful. It proved most useful when someone asked us to hook up a computer to the mixer. The USB interface sounded great; much better than using the computer's onboard soundcard. The larger faders pas very useful, and saves me from having to mess around with the gain too much when changing the levels. EQs are also an excellent feature on this desk and proved to be useful when the desk was used in a live event capacity.
