Clawhammer banjozáshoz kiváló lehet, ha valakinek gyenge a körme, vagy erős, de nagyon rövidre szereti vágni. Abból a szempontból jobb, mint a fém, hogy a pengetőzaj annyi, mintha körömmel pengetnénk. Viszont sajnos a rögzítő szegecs miatt, ami kicsit nyom, nem olyan kényelmes, ez a fémnél jobban van megoldva, itt az anyagvastagság miatt nem lehetett valószínűleg jobban eldolgozni. Tartósságról nincs tapasztalatom, de mivel egy borítékban érkezett (utánküldés volt), ami úgy nézett ki, mintha többen megtaposták volna, és utána megrágta egy kutya, benne a pengető pedig laposra volt nyomva, de ki tudtam hajtogatni anélkül, hogy eltört volna, valószínűleg tartós lesz.
