A Great Little Amp For Stage Use - Wired
Skywalker6 07.06.2021
First of all, I'm a drummer, therefore I have no real need for wireless connectivity on stage since I'm not moving from my drum throne.

I attached a piece of wide strap to the side of my drum throne with tape and I use a belt clip to keep the amp near and accessible at all times. I can reach for my volume control in less than a second!
That also makes it easy to connect the stereo inputs via 2 XLR inputs from my mixer. The only minimal "problem" I have is the ON/OFF switch is a little bit hard to reach and press underneath the DC input.

The sound is good enough powering my Shure SE215s. I would give it a 4/5 in absolute terms, it's not the absolute Hi-Fi quality, but it's good enough for pretty much everything.

The build quality is good, the amp is very sturdy and comes in a nice plastic carry case. No problems there. I also bought the Fischer Amps DC Power Supply so I didn't try it on battery power yet.

All in all, a great device, very handy and nicely built, I'm super satisfied!

Good Sound but easily broken
Anonymous 28.02.2014
We use these powered IEM packs for backline instruments and they are certainly powerful and clear. We never really used them in stereo as we run our mixes in mono. The most disappointing element is the fact they over time they just fell apart. The battery housings fall off with regular battery replacement and the battery connection then became problematic. Also the jack sockets quickly became unreliable and the audio would frequently cut out. For a product that is made to be belt clipped the individual elements need to be more durable just as the casing (apart from the battery cover) are.

For use on the small stage this is a great little amplifier. Super easy to set up and use. The cable to your monitor output on your mixer can be annoying. I have only used it with the 9 volt battery as I want to avoid the use of another cable running down from my side. I would recommend the use of a rechargeable battery. Battery power gets used up pretty fast but on a full charge you will get a good long gig or two out of it. The belt holder (as with most belt holders on any product) in my opinion could be better.I found a weakness in the headphone socket and care is recomended when plugging in and out.In saying all that I still really like this product so much so that I purchased a second one.The price is acceptable.

S
Brilliant In-Ear monitor pack.
Spoobler 02.06.2014
I've been using this pack now for five years. I love it. It is such a versatile little unit. When I started using in-ears I didn't like the loss of control over my bass sound/level - or having to catch the soundguy's attention if I needed the level changed. With this pack I have my own bass signal going into one channel and everything else going into the other channel. Then by using the blend know I can alter the relative levels whenever I need to.

One other amazing feature is the ability to switch between stereo mode and dual mono mode. In stereo both signals are present in both ears and the blend knob controls how much of each signal is sent to both ears. In dual mono mode one signal is sent to the left ear, the other to the right. I find this really useful for my gigs where I'm playing double bass - so I have my bass signal in my left ear (and where the bass physically is) and the band mix in my right ear. I find this is a great feature that can let me focus on my own instrument without fighting to be heard over the other instruments.

A
Crystal clear quality from a wired headphone amp!
Andy66 19.09.2013
Features:
Simple controls that do exactly what they should coupled with enough input/output options to be very versatile indeed! It does exactly what I need it to do and nothing I don't need!

Comfort:
The belt clip doesn't quite let it hang right on a back pocket and makes my pocket gape but apart from that it's of very minor weight and I barely notice I'm wearing it!

Sound:
I use this with a pair of Ultimate Ears Triple fi.10 and the sound quality was pure crystal, I can hear myself and my bandmates superbly, no harshness of top end and no weird mid-bumps! Just smooth response and crystal clarity!

Quality:
The housing feels really sturdy and the knobs are smooth and firm in operation, every thing about it feels of the highest quality.

Conclusions:
Superbly made, hi-fi sounding, wired belt pack, couple it with some excellent in ears and you're completely set! The price of these is astonishly low for the sound quality they produce! Recommended!

J-
The perfect beltpack for static musicians
Jo - Belgium 03.07.2018
I use this product for several years now and it works perfect. As a drummer the beltpack is ideal to enjoy the quality of a stereo-sound without having a mixing desk beside you. This compact BP let's you control the volume and panning but can also mix 2 different input channels. I use this feature a lot in live situations when I want to control my SPD-SX sound (backing track & click) & monitor channel. I would recommend an external adapter from Fisher Amps (connector-lock), so you have no risk on power outage. Since you're already wired up with 2 XLR cables, the power cable is negligible.

A Great Alternative to Wireless IEM
Sam78 14.05.2013
This unit is built like a tank and can withstand the punishment that it gets from being flung around on tour. A great alternative to wireless IEM's it perfectly suited for or backline where sound quality and stereo mix only help give the boys exactly what they need in their ears! with the option of being battery powered (9v) or from a power supply it has the flexibility of being used in an install or part of a House Band set up. Much easier and cheaper than foldback wedges, amps and leads!!! A serious contender!

Solid sound, solid features
Jarmo 16.06.2014
Although a fairly aged product, Fischer is still one of the top choices for those in need for a quality sound and built hardwired In Ear Monitoring. After testing a few wireless systems I ended up with this BP as the quality of sound and also trouble free signal chain were deciding factors.
Mixing options for two inputs, mono and stereo serve me well. Perhaps a microphone through could come handy in some situations, but otherwise I don't see any further requirements for my needs.
I am a singer and guitar player performing both sitting and standing up. When sitting down a plug my Shure ear plugs directly to Fischer BP, and when standing up and moving I use the Fischer Mini BP for volume control, which is more comfortable when attached to the belt.

Over two years use and still going strong!
ClintCabral 18.07.2014
As a drummer I attach the unit to my music stand so it's not taken too much abuse over the two plus years I've had it. I've always used it with the mains adapter also as I'm not moving around. It's a great device which has saved my hearing from loud guitar amps which at one gig were directly behind me. Coupled with my I.E.M.s it's been the perfect monitoring solution.

Not powerful enough
GlennT 24.08.2014
We tested one of these today and although it worked quite well, it was lost when our volume uncreased. Both our mixing desk and this unit were on maximum and still it wasn't loud enough. I suppose for quieter performances it would be fine but for a band that pumps out load music for 3 hours it's fairly useless.
