A quality guitar for the money
Anonymous 09.06.2014
I have had this guitar for several year now and never had a problem with it.

It is sturdy and well constructed. The fretboard is slightly wider than I would have expected (I was expecting the same characteristic thin necks as their basses) but that is not a problem.

The sound is really good for the price range, I have actually only ever owned two electrics (a Squier Strat and this) and I must say that while they are different beasts, I prefer the sound of this guitar. This guitar is pretty much aimed at the rock and metal end of the market, but that is not to say it can't be used to play most styles.

Feature-wise it's a pretty standard guitar, it has a tremolo bar, I don't use it much. It detunes the guitar, though not as much as on the Squier (personally I don't think there's any point using a tremolo bar unless you have a Floyd Rose).

Overall a great guitar for either beginners or intermediate players.

Good Value for the Money!

This guitar is the best material that you can get at this price level if you are left-handed. The other option is Jackson JS22.

Packaging: The guitar came with a well-isolated carton box with sponges inside. Inside the box, there are necessary tools for maintenance and the whammy bar handle.

Body: It's heavier than I expected. It's not completely black there is some texture on the surface like stars in space which look very nice.

Fretboard and neck: I am not a very experienced player but I found fretboard very comfortable. You can play the notes with a small amount of pressure. The neck shape is also comfortable.

Coil Selector and Knobs: Guitar has 2 humbuckers and 1 single coil combination with 5-way switch. Which gives you a good range of tones for almost all kinds of music. Volume and tone knobs work as expected.

Bridge: This part is the only part I will complain about. The floating bridge is very sensitive that you can feel it changes the sound when the small force applied. This can be annoying sometimes.

Tuners: If you don't use the whammy bar, tuners are doing their job very well.

Great quality, love the feel of the neck and the looks are awesome. The only negative is the bridge/tremolo system which is really poor. Overall, it's an excellent choice for players of all levels on a budget.
