Jackson Pro C. Beaulieu King V KV7Q WS

The images I saw of this shows a white quilted top, however there's a lot of yellow in it. I looked at it and just had a negative "oh...really?"

Then I tried to set it up. Oh boy, so many quality issues.

The frets are not level. There is buzzing in a lot of places, but mostly on the small E. Had to raise the action so high it's not fun to play. The bridge pickup is so much louder than the neck pickup. The low B and E tuner are stiff, almost like the gears are cross threaded somehow.

I cannot play this as-is.

(edit) After returning the guitar and getting a replacement, the new one is much better.
-The fret buzz is not an issue, they seem even.
-The fret edges are better, they seem properly trimmed.
-The neck pickup functions properly, is the same volume as the bridge pickup.
-The quilt top is much better, aesthetically. Still yellowish, but the pattern is much cleaner, doesn't appear to have weird knots it.
-The tuning knobs are still very stiff
-The fine tuners on the bridge also don't feel very well machined. This was a problem with the first one too. (my MIJ KVX10s with licensed floyd rose are much smoother)

All around, this is a great improvement compared to the first one I got, but still lacking on Jackson (tuners) and Floyd Rose's (fine tuners) part regarding quality. for a $2,000CAD guitar, I expected this thing to blow my MIJ KVX10s out of the water.

Bon son! Les assemblages des bois font qu'elle a un son bien définis, précis et clair. Les micros sont assez agressifs mais me conviennent très bien? On est pas ici pour faire du blues!

Le Floyd 1000 qui tient très bien l'accordage
Les 5 ressorts déjà prévus dans la cavité du floyd
Les straplocks fournis
Finition entre le corps et le manche propre

Le floyd fait un peu de bruit à vide. Voir pour mettre des ressorts antibruit
L'hardware: Je pense le changer à terme.
Le prix!! A une époque pour le même prix on avait une guitare avec Floyd rose original et un meilleur hardware

Wollte immer schon eine 7-Seiter, und das ist meine erste. Die KV7Q kam super eingestellt in Sachen Stimmung und Intonation, mit einem Zettelchen auf dem man die Signaturen der Qualitätskontrolleure findet. Also alles wie bei meiner King V Pro Two-Face mit 6 Seiten.
Dass diesmal auf einen Tonregler verzichtet wurde bewerte ich positiv, im Sinne von weniger Elektronik im Signalweg.
Der Sound der aktiven Seymour Duncan Blackouts gefällt mir sehr gut, obwohl ich in der Regel passive Pickups bevorzuge die ich direkt danach „booste“. Man kann ja auch in diesem Fall die „Aktiven“ ohne Batterie, passiv&zweckentfremdet betreiben, und auch mit diesem Sound kann ich etwas anfangen.
Preislich kommt Thomann zurzeit den Hobbyisten mit über 300€ Nachlass entgegen, was mir die Kaufentscheidung nach Jahrelangem Liebäugeln mit der KV7Q doch sehr erleichtert hat.
Und nicht zuletzt sagt mir das coole Design zu: King V und doch ein bisschen anders. Und die feine Verarbeitung …
Im Bereich der Streifen hat meine KV7Q eine Leichte Hellbraune Note. Man Könnte das auch als Tigermuster bezeichnen. Es sieht etwas anders aus als im Bild auf der Seite von Thomann, was ich aber wenigstens genau so gut finde.
