Good, but not excellent.
Handreas 18.02.2020
I recommend all sound techs have at least a couple of these nearby. Clamping it to the rim of a drum is easy and it doesn't get in the way of anything. It's perfect on snare drums and toms where getting one or two mic stands in between cymbal- and hihat-stands is troublesome. However, due to the way this clamp is constructed it won't work with all microphones. The mic mount sits pretty high above the rim.
With for example a sm57 or similar long body type mics, it's no trouble, but with odd shaped, or side address microphones, you might find you can't get the mic close enough to the drum.

Very good, but not the perfect mount.

Fantastic
Tezz 05.12.2016
As a sound engineer working with different bands at each event, I bought these to keep in my tool case so that I was better equipped to handle exotic drum mounting methods. I've found that, while the standard clips that come with the Sennheiser microphones are very good, some drums with thicker hoops and 'suspended' tom mounts can be tricky to handle.

These clips have filled that need very, very well. Negating the need to bring out another couple of boom stands on several occasions. The clips are very versatile with a wide range of adjustment, allowing you to get the microphone in just the right position.

Like all K&M Products the quality is high and there's a reassuring weight to them whilst not being too heavy for their intended task.

For any sound engineer dealing with varying bands on a regular basis or a venue looking to increase the versatility of their existing kit, these are definitely a must-buy. While a little bulky to be my go-to clip, they will continue to be a tool within my box of tricks. Recommended!

B
The best drum clip on the market
Bedenella 20.12.2020
It's impossible to be let down by K&M. and this clip is the best on the market. On almost every shell it will fit and no man can move it. Great for snares but also for toms, instead of the stock clip for tom mics I like using this more.

Must have kit
RobC 03.06.2013
These little mic clamps are great, all of K&M's gear is sturdy and well built. They hook onto practically any drum, even those toms with akward/obscure mounts. Work brilliantly on snares, being close enough but not angling the mic flat on the skin or half way across the drum, and will remain firmly in place even after a drummer has moved his kit around 6 times during soundcheck. Must have tools for any audio professional who doesn't feel like re adjusting the mic stands every time the bass drum slips and for anyone who is bored of budget clamps that drift closer to the skin every other beat.

Satisfying
DrummerR 08.02.2020
I bought these together with the Tbone DC1200 set because of the reactions on the clamps delivered with that set
The K&M's are much more sturdy and easy to mount on my drumkit. I find them a little bit more difficult to use with regards to directing my mics correctly. I think this has something to do with the 90° angle of the clamp, which in combination with the DC1200 set, is probably not the best combination (but it was my choice to make that combination).
I didn't use them a lot yet, so might be that my opinion still changes over time.

Great mini holder
Vihren Hristov 09.12.2021
It's perfect for triple flanged steel hoops (useless for safe hoops and not that stable on diecast hoops). Really sturdy, as all K&M products. There's a lot of options to position most standart mics for snare and toms.

j
pointless as a low profile solution for drums
jplebre 14.03.2020
When I first saw this, I thought it'd be a great little gadget for keeping microphones like SM57/Heil Sounds/etc.

Unfortunately this is much larger than it looks on the picture. You also cannot adjust the height of the rail as it's fixed, so it always pushes the microphone up quite a bit.

The actual clamp looks pretty good and the material used is what you'd expect from K&M, but unfortunately it's too big to keep an SM57 or similar microphone on a snare and alt snare without getting in the way of the hi-hat, toms, or just generally looking horrible in a video/photo shoot.

Practical and versitile!
DavinH 13.01.2022
A practical little thing to have on snares and various toms. It doesn't fit every type and can sometimes be in the way for the drummer (especially if using a Shure SM57 on a snare).
