A
Best combo stand I've tried
Auraboy 11.03.2014
I've used a variety of different combo stands before, most are generally cheaper than the K&M offering, but after using K&M guitar stands and speaker stands for a year, I thought I'd give the amp stand a try for my Fender Supersonic Twin. Like most K&M stuff it's very well engineered and thought out and doesn't have any of the annoying problems that so many stands seem stuck with.

It can be folded up extremely small, as small as a short mic stand, which is better than the big 'folding deckchair' designs of many amp stands. It's design allows you to alter the tilt angle and lock it in place. It takes a lot more weight than some I've used without looking like it's going to fall. As the Fender Supersonic Twin is about the heaviest combo in the world this was pretty important to me! The ability to add in an arm to mic up the combo is very neat too.

I've not been using this long but it's already convinced me to ditch my other stands and just stick to K&M for anything like this.

Can't be better

Perfectly suitable for my Egnater Tweaker 112 combo. Sturdy, all the materials are top quality. I use it with K&M 21140 boom arm (as it is shown on K&M's website), and additional ball joint is not necessary to correctly position microphone over speaker.

P
Works fine for a Markbass Micromark 801
PhilsHarmony 30.06.2021
I bought the stand for a Markbass Micromark 801 and it stands on it in a nice and pretty much solid way. Doesn't wiggle to the sides, however if you'd accidentally apply too much pressure from the top or back, it might fall over to the front, as the legs are comparably short and the Markbass model hangs over on the front. Shouldn't be a problem but in most cases, just keep it in mind in case kids would run around the studio or live playing area.

MS
light but robust
Martin S. 869 21.02.2014
How much can you say about an Amp Stand? First of all, the folks at K&M did a good job. It is robust and flexible in regard to elevation (how high you want to point your speaker above ground). Second it is light enough to carry around to a gig (even if you only plan to use it optional).

It offers the use of a mic boom which you can get from K&M as an extension.

It is clearly made with combo amplifiers in mind. With a head/cabinet combination you might run into two issues. A lack of support to the head if stand is leaned back. And since it has a center pole this often collides with the speaker cables into the cabinet being in the center of the speaker. (Like my Vox Nighttrain Cabinet).

I use one of mine at the (small) practice room together with a Deluxe Reverb. At lower over all levels I prefer the amplifier pointing towards me without the bass increase by coupling the amp to the ground.
