Funny box, nice sound!
Quality is good, sound is great fun! Just sounds like the real deal. If you want one because of Slash's talkbox sound heard in his Live era concerts....this is more or less the same flare and texture. Would be great if MXR gave you a cloth or something to clean the tube after the sound. Beware: this box need a microphone in order to amplify the sound. Otherwise, the sound is well audible as coming out of the box, but it's not coming out of your amplifier! So you either put a microphone in front of your mouth and amplify with a PA system, or the microphone goes in the audio card if you need the talkbox sound to be recorded (which is quite easy to do as the sound is grainy and present). The pipe that goes into the mouth could have some protection for your tongue and teeth, because at higher volumes i found it a bit hurting my mouth for the air pressure. Not a big deal, just saying....Anyway, good product, lots of fun!

That 70s vibe
If you are a fan of old 70s funk/soul, or Peter Frampton, Slash, Jerry Cantrel this is the pedal to have! Depending on how you used it, this thing makes more sounds than even the usual suspect wah-wah pedal does!

Amazing device!
Exactly what I was looking for, allows you to replicate loads sounds from iconic songs, love it! The only drawback is that you need to buy an adapter if you live in europe, and its not specified anywhere(at least I didn't see it).

MXR Talkbox
I am in a cover band and I always wanted a talk box in order to play sum Bon Jovi songs. This pedal suits me perfectly. Really well made and easy to set up and the sound is fantastic, exactly what I was looking for. I plugged in the pedal and I instanly got that Richie sambora/Alice in Chains tone I was craving. If anything happened to this pedal (which i doubt it will becasue of the build quality) I would buy another one in an instant. There is a slight learning curve involved with getting a talkbox to sound good but once that is covered it sounds and plays great. All in all a great pedal

If I could only use it better :D
Been using this talkbox mainly with my keyboard and been pretty satisfied with it. My technique could be better since I am having some difficulties in producing words with the talkbox, but hopefully some day I'll be californicatin' like a mofo. Peace.

Best Talk box out there
I recently purchased this for my son, who was asking me for a talk box all last summer. I researched them and discovered many people saying this MXR M 222 was the one to buy.
They were right. Immediately my son was belting out "around the world...around the wor---ld". The quality if this is even better than the Yamaha keyboard we use it with. Nice robust piece of equipment.
I highly recommend it if you are searching for your Talk box.

I tried a lot of Talkboxes in the past but the MXR was the best I ever tried, sounds great and it is also easy to integrade into your setup because is not between the Amp and the Speaker.

R U TALKING TO ME>?
I had this idea of speaking to the crowd with my guitar, but feedback took over. Very useful in a studio environment. If u wanna go live, it will be much easier on a keyboard
