Good for starters
If you need fresh heads and never tried those, go ahead!
If you're looking for a specific sound, maybe dig a little more.
I had those on a snare and wanted a tighter sound, but as they were old, I thought buying new ones would get me a tight sound again.
Now I think I should have bought thicker heads (probably Black Suedes on both sides, though those are really thick!)

Classic snare sound
I'm using these heads on my Mapex mars 6.5 snare drum, and I'm very happy with it.
They sound great and are easy to tune, with a very defined attack and a decent amount of sustain, just the sound I was looking for.
Pros:
Classic snare sound
Easy to tune
Good quality
Bang for the buck
Cons:
The batter head doesn't last as long as some other brands

The batter drum head of this set is the quintessential snare drum head for a reason. It can take the hard hit of a blast beat and respond to the soft touch of brushes. I play in a rock pop band, but I have also used this snare head for projects in other genres such as funk, grunge, punk and hard rock, and the sound I get from this snare head every time is the one I need. I kill unwanted overtones with some gaffer tape, which leaves no glue residue (gel pads being of course another dampening option).
The resonant head responds very well to the snares and resists high tuning. Don't crank it up too much, though: you want it responsive, not cracked.
Overall, a great set of drum heads that works for most situations.

Good general head
This is a good combination of heads to get if you want to change both heads on your snare. My experience is that this Ambassador batter head is very realisticly giving back the sound your snaredrum is capable of making. This is best on mid-high level snare drums, not so much on the low end unfortunately.

Great set for snare!
My friend recommended I use this as my resonant head for a better sounding bass drum in the jazz idiom, so this is generally what I use it for. It sounds best to me when tuned high and tight. Deciding which head to purchase solely depends on what kind of sound you want. If you want a "fat" low pitched sound for instance,a pinstripe ebony works well. But if you want a bright "punchy" sound, then this head will suffice. The standard batter head is the powerstroke 3 (which is a good head to start with); but once you've developed an ear for it, i supposed you can begin to deviate from that as well.

Industry standard - confirmed!
I use this set to upgrade my Ludwig Supralite 08x14`` snare drum and it is made very big improvement to the sound of this snare drum!
