Exposes the guitar while keeping it super easy to pick up and play
Łukasz 02.04.2020
The hanger looks very nice when mounted with a guitar on it. Without the guitar it's not very decorative so consider how often you'll leave it empty.

The slanted position looks good and hides most of the black metal bar. I originally planned to put the guitar horizontally but this would expose too much of the black metal bar. Moreover, there was no good way to align my particular guitar in that position as the back holder would end up RIGHT on the jack port. Chose the slanted position instead and I'm happy with the result.

The guitar ends up between 7cm - 13cm away from the wall which is actually perfect since you can attach the strap easily to it while it's still hanging. I recommend a strap lock for that reason. While you could just leave the strap on the guitar, I find the look without it cleaner.

There is a little horizontal play in the hanger which comes from the adjustable base. It's stable though. The arms are also a bit wide for my RS 620 but I sometimes use this as a feature to hang the wound instrument cable off of it, too.

The screws that come with the set were annoyingly soft, to the point of being useless. My cordless power screwdriver stripped all three right away. Use some proper screws like Fischer and all will be good.

Note that the description mentions that this set is not suitable for nitro varnish finished guitars. Mine is a satin finish, I hope that will be alright.

G
Good, but some parts are poor
GizzardWizard 03.12.2021
The wall hangers in and of themselves are great, they are stable and the guitars look great in them, also love that the angle is adjustable. My main issue is with the low quality dowels and screws. Maybe it's just my DIY skills, but the dowels broke immediately after hitting them a few times with a hammer, and the screws strip really easily. Went to a hardware store, bought quality screws and dowels and installation was a breeze.

R
Best Wall Mount Yet
Rob_har 03.02.2021
The Rockstand Guitar Wall Hanger is not the cheapest way to display your guitar but is in my opinion, one of the best.
I use this wall hanger for my most expensive and cherished 70's Fender Telecaster and it looks fantastic. The guitar can be displayed at an angle you want and is secure and most important, safe.
The instructions are clear and it's simple to attach to the wall with correct tools. I did not use the screws and plugs that came with the mount but larger for extra security.
The mount supports the guitar at three points as opposed to two, which is how the V type wall mounts work. Also the mount does not put any pressure on the scarf point (where the fretboard meets the headsock) of the neck, which is the guitars most fragile point.
Pros: How it makes the guitar look when mounted. Security. 3 point support. Quality and price.
Cons: Takes up more wall space than the more common V type.
