Ich habe in meine Auswahl eines Barisax-Mundstückes unter anderem auch dieses Selmer mit einbezogen. Nicht zuletzt weil das S80 auf meinem Alt-Sax mein bevorzugtes Mundstück ist. Qualitativ ist das Selmer einfach top. Das Mundstück ist sehr groß, so dass die Auswahl an Blattschrauben begrenzt ist. Hier halte ich die originale, überraschend preisgünstige, für ideal.
Beeindruckt war ich von allen tiefen Tönen. Ein wunderbar satter Klang. Gut zu kontrollieren. Leider war ich von allen oktavierten Tönen enttäuscht. Diese waren mir zu dumpf. Das kann natürlich auch an den Faktoren Spieler und Instrument (ein Weltklang) liegen.

Hraji na svém YBS-62 raději S80E pro její temnější zvuk, ale pokud potřebuji ještě přidat na síle a zvučnosti zejména vysokých tónů, pak volím S80F. Snadná ovladatelnost je stejná, S80F má silnější a jasnější barvu zvuku. Používám plátky FIBRACELL PREMIER 2,5-3
