Great for Cajon
I use this microphone in my cajon. Placed in the base of the cajon on top of a folded tea towel, it handles the range from deep bass to top end snap really well. I have it facing the tapa (front).
It has added benefits that it doesn't pick up much background noise when in the cajon, so works well in an amplified live setting.
The microphone is heavy enough that it stays put, even when I play the cajon tipped back slightly.
I prefer this to using two microphones (front and back) as it balances the different sounds that the cajon can make. My cajon has the sound hole on the side (2 different tapas), so trying to use a microphone near the sound hole isn't as easy as when the hole is at the back.
This is a good and much cheaper alternative to the Shure Beta 91.

Decent internal kick mic
Dirt cheap but really well built and weighty. Great for getting a metal-style 'clicky' attack on kick drum, though I wouldn't want to use it without something on the outside to pick up the lower frequencies. It works for typical boundary mic stuff too (on a table in meetings). I've not really tried it on any other instruments though.
Only slight annoyance is the built in cable - I assume it's because the mic is so small a regular XLR socket wouldn't fit, but cable fitted to it is pretty flimsy.

cheap and good
This is a very good microphone. Cable is a bit short, but good.

Good sound - minimal EQ needed
Good sound. Good weight so it seats on place. I wish it would have a longer cable.

Great for cajon
I purchased this for use inside my cajon. I was provided a Shure 91 to use on some gigs, but didn't really want to spend that much. I took a chance with the E100 but am really glad I did. Its given a great sounding bass thud but also picks up the cajon snares and the slap sound perfectly. Highly recommended
