Colour does make a difference
On the face of it what is the point of buying a product that comes largely in black and of which most of us have many metres of it. I speak of XLR male to female microphone cable that is not black ! The reason for deviating from the ever present black cable came about when I was checking the cable runs for a live recording session of a large choir, where to my horror one of the musicians had covered the cables with tape for understandable health and safety reasons; however with only twenty minutes to go before the start of the concert panic set in as I had to trace back the runs to sort out a problem with one microphone.
The problem or the potential possibility of having the same trouble in the future has now been solved not by doing away with all my stock of black XLR cable but by introducing an element of colour so that at short notice I can know where I am with the setup.
Further, in simpler set ups I now use coloured cable and ask the colleague who assists me to have yellow cable for the sound-stage left and blue to the right with a touch of red in the middle, if that is where the lead singer is. Colours do make a difference and simplify cable runs to advantage !!
I would give the product a five star rating but I should really wait say three years to see cable has any long term faults which would seem unlikely given inspection of it.

Good cable!
Bought it to see how it holds up to its more expensive counterparts. Turns it out it holds up better than most cables 3x its price. Only after 3 years of extensive use have I managed to break the locking mechanism.
If you are buying in bulk or shopping on a budget, get the sssnake!

Value for money
The cables and the connectors are of good quality. I have been using a couple of these for more than 3 years without any issues. This cable is very smooth and easy to pack. Highly recommended.

Have been Compared to Van Damme and Im impressed!
I bought these to extend the distance I can place my speakers apart from each other at events. I bought some Vann Damme cables for general use but didnt want to spend lots more on more Vann Damme for the rare occasion i needed a longer length so i bought 2x of these. Well im impressed, there is hardly any difference in sound quality between the Vann Damme and these and the XLR connectors work fine so only time will tell how they hold up but seem like great cables so far, especially as the price!

You get what you pay for!
Cheap! Works well so far in home studio environment - I have connected three together for a 30m cable run without any problems.
I'd probably hesitate to use it in a critical live environment but for the home hobbyist it is more than good enough for the price point.

Cheap, works as intended - what more can we want?
A vibrantly-colored XLR cable that I use to connect my mixer to my powered speakers for live venues - it does its job perfectly and makes it easier to know what-goes-where in a bundle of input/output cables, routed through the stage!

the ssnake mic cable, 10M.
There are only 2 kinds of mic cable really.. Those that are good enough, and those that are not. This one is good enough, and reasonably priced. It sounds the same as my Neutrik/Belden or Cannon/Belden cables, and, unless abused, should stay sounding good for a while.
The pros: it's "good enough" that I can't tell the difference, is competetively priced, and looks good too. (but why none in Green? I like Green for stereo pairs, Port and Starboard!) - good enough I'll be slipping a few more on my next order.
The cons: Ooops.. Sorry, can't find any. :-)
Want a good enough 10M M/F XLR cable? This is one.

Long Lasting
I have bought these cables a couple of times now and have been very impressed with their quality considering the price. I've rated them only 4/5 stars as I have gotten two cables which had lumping on the metal inside of the male end, meaning they couldn't fit in to my interface. Although I'm sure this is a very occurrence and considering the price, you could buy 5 of these cables for the price of 1 form another brand anyway.

Does the job
I bought this lead in case we needed a longish lead to say take a DI out one amp to another, or similar, and it does the job. That's all I ask of it !
To get a 10 metre lead with connectors both ends and made up for less than a fiver has to be good value. The metal connectors look as if they will live through the regular traumas of being dropped, stood on or having equipment piled on them. The cable looks ok, and has certainly given no problems thus far. But it is a little thinner than some other cables I have used, and I am not counting on a long life. But in fairness I didn't expect anything more at the price.
For infrequent use it's fine, and well worth the small cost to have a useful lead kicking around 'just in case'. However, if you want a lead for regular use, I suggest its worth paying a little more. I've used the Pro snake range, and suggest that the extra cost in these circumstances is well worth it in terms of reliability and peace of mind.
