The Ssnake 10M microphone cables.
Fragula 27.11.2020
There are only 2 kinds of mic cable really.. Those that are good enough, and those that are not. This one is good enough, and reasonably priced. It sounds the same as my Neutrik/Belden or Cannon/Belden cables, and, unless abused, should stay sounding good for a while.

The pros: it's "good enough" that I can't tell the difference, is competetively priced, and looks good too. (but why none in Green? I like Green for stereo pairs, Port and Starboard!) - good enough I'll be slipping a few more on my next order.

The cons: Ooops.. Sorry, can't find any. :-)

Want a good enough 10M M/F XLR cable? This is one.

K
just great
Kar1l 24.07.2018
These are just great. Since I discovered the sssnake brand, I've been using them next to my higher end cables without any issue.
No RF hum, a clear and bright signal, I feel I am getting the full benefit of performance in my system using these cables. I will probably buy more in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a well constructed great sounding cable- and save some money vs. the "designer" brands I mentioned above. Recommmended!

Cheap, works as intended - what more can we want?

A vibrantly-colored XLR cable that I use to connect my mixer to my powered speakers for live venues - it does its job perfectly and makes it easier to know what-goes-where in a bundle of input/output cables, routed through the stage!

Decent Performance
Iustin Galea 13.05.2023
This is a satisfactory choice for those seeking an affordable microphone cable solution with sturdy construction, without signal loss or interference.
The cable's 10-foot length provides ample flexibility for various setups, making it suitable for small to medium-sized studios or live performances. The connectors are reasonably durable, ensuring a secure connection between your microphone and audio equipment.
While the sssnake SM10RD may not offer the same level of premium quality as higher-end options, it delivers acceptable performance for its price range. If you're on a budget and in need of a basic microphone cable, the SM10RD is a decent choice that gets the job done.

Lasting Quality
Peter McCoy 02.03.2019
I have bought these cables a couple of times now and have been very impressed with their quality considering the price. I've rated them only 4/5 stars as I have gotten two cables which had lumping on the metal inside of the male end, meaning they couldn't fit in to my interface. Although I'm sure this is a very occurrence and considering the price, you could buy 5 of these cables for the price of 1 form another brand anyway.

A
Great Coloured XLR cable
Adrian3174 09.12.2015
I bought some of these to use as microphone cables and being coloured allow easy recognition of which channel is which on the mixer. These cables are extremely cheap at just 6.40 EUR. For that price I couldn't even buy the plugs let alone the cable! The plugs certainly aren't Neutrik's but they are good enough quality to use with microphones and I intend to use these for karaoke with some cheap T Bone MB 60's The female connector locks positively with the microphone and the cable certainly doesn't look and feel like a cheap and cheerful entry level cable. The cable itself is quite flexible and should give years of service before it fractures.

So how does the sssnake sound? Well I cannot distinguish any difference in sound quality between it and a Cordial CAM 9 which costs more than double the price. I cannot detect any restriction in the upper frequency response. There is no microphony produced when handling the cable and I cannot detect any hum or noise even when the cable is placed directly next to mains cabling.

Would I recommend these cables, if you need a colured cable then definitely yes! At this price I would suggest stocking up before Thomann realise what a bargain these are and put the price up!

Easy to keep track of inputs
Woody UK 28.05.2020
Great for big sessions with many XLR inputs in a messy studio. Really useful for drum recording, fool proof cable management with bright colours! The connectors feel solid, no issues so far.

Great Visibility and Cheap
Jack D 09.04.2018
I bought these to add onto an pre-existing install, with a really small budget.

The most important thing about this cable is the fact that its orange and stands out to avoid confusion. I needed this particular part of the install to be completely identifiable.

I've used the sssnake range time and time again and this was total value for money, I've used that range for both for mic lines and single lines to amps and active speakers and have not had an issue yet.

Cannot Fault!!
