First time i saw these, i thought why not. i was looking for something that was free blowing and minimum prep, soaking ect. so i bought one, and wow what a difference. It takes the guess work out of reed selection.

Wenn einen die Farbe nicht stört (warum sollte es), bekommt man Forestone Hinokis hier etwas günstiger. Schade (aber verständlich), dass sich Thomann hier auf Alt- und Tenorsax beschränkt. Das wären bestimmt gute Bariton-Blätter!

Nun muss ich meine Bewertung überarbeiten. Zu Beginn fand ich das Blatt nicht sehr ansprechend, da das mittlere D sehr stumpf war. Ich hatte es in die Schublade gelegt und in der Zwischenzeit ein Hinoki 3 von Forestone gespielt. Vielleicht musste ich mich einfach auf Kunststoff etwas einspielen, aber mittlerweile geht das Thomann Monster Reed richtig gut ab. Es klingt sehr nahe am echten Holzblatt spricht super an und das stumpfe D ist verschwunden als hätte es das niemals gegeben. Das Hinoki, das ich anfangs deutlich besser fand, habe ich mittlerweile verbannt, da es bei mir recht empfindlich auf den Ansatz reagiert hat. Das Thomann Reed ist da sehr unempfindlich macht und einfach Spass zu spielen. Klare Empfehlung. Ich werde es wieder kaufen und habe es eben auch für mein Altsaxophon bestellt.

ich bin mit dem Blättchen sehr zufrieden. kein Anfeuchten nötig - sofort spielbar. Mir persönlich fehlt etwas "der Halt" an der Unterlippe da das Blatt sehr glatt ist ... das ist aber nicht wirklich ein Problem - mehr das Empfinden, daß die Unterlippe nicht "einrastet" . Klanglich ist das Blatt minimal anders als eins aus Holz - jedoch sind in den 10erPackungen Holzblättchen auch nicht alle homogen.... werde es bei Bedarf auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen !
