Poor quality
I bought this in Aug 2018 to house a UI24r. The lid catches were a bit loose when I got it. Now, after 14 months of light duty 'weekend warriour' type gigs the catches are so loose the lids fall off regularly in transit. Thomann has refused to do anything about it, saying it's 'fair wear and tear'. I call it 'unmerchantable quality'. I'm going to buy an SKB from somewhere else.

Has lightened my equipment
I previously loaded my equipment into a 6U "shallow" rack that was still 12 inches rail to rail. Requiring antenna extender cables to extend the antennas outside the case. The power connectors were hidden deep in the case. This has brought everything to the surface allowing me to eliminate so cables and brackets and making it easier to connect things. I'm still at about the same weight but it is much easier to carry 2 of these thinner 4Us, one on each arm than the one thick 6U. Very pleased overall. Wish the rails were better quality. Had some minor alignment issues and one screw went in forced. But pleased and am making this my first choice for other builds.

A rack well done manufactured
Necessary accessory for the protection of transport equipment.
I use it to protect the xair18 digital mixer together with a wireless microphone receiver.
Makes protection very good, easy to install equipment inside
Lightweight but durable at the same time.
I recommend for light equipment protection.
pro
- good price
- resistant to transport of equipment
- easy to set up
cons
- Only light equipment can support this size.
- The large size of the rack probably needs more reinforcements.
Overall, a very good rack, low price, very light weight. I use more than three such racks in different sizes and I am extremely pleased with each of them.

worth its money
We got it as our first rack for our band. We keep inside our audio interface and our in ear amplifiers, nothing too special. It does its job perfectly, especially if you consider its price. It is steardy and it doesn't look like it could break easily, although there are some parts that look like they were made a bit hastily but don't actually cause any problems. The only actual problem that might appear in the near future are the 4 "butterfly" locks on each side. They seem a bit weak and the springs inside feel fragile and loose. Maybe we will change them for better ones, although that's just a prediction. Other than that, it's a perfect first rack. Looking forward to having some more.

Not stackable with other size Thomann cases
Thomann has a number of these rack cases in several sizes.
All of them are stackable, but unfortunately only with the same size.
A shallow radio receiver rack can't be stacked on top of a deeper video switcher/recorder rack. The aluminum frames seem not to like shipping and one needs a little force to unbend them for the first assembly. I found that in the edges it is often necessary to cut or grind away parts of the rackmount ears to fit the edges of the rack case. You get what you pay for, I guess.
The problem with the stackability is not a function of price, though. The designer just stopped thinking too early.

Nice buy, Nice product.
Perfect fit for a Roland S-1608. is more than a 3units?s Rack fits perfect , shallow size... very very comfortable, very handly.
Very usefull the back side with zip to put extra staff, short cables,adaptors..
Is made in hard plastic mostly, but kind flexible if you squeeze it (take care), it have extra plastic (not metal) square frames inside the handles(look inside and at the sides and corners) to reinforce the case, to attach the handles, works pretty nice.
Is thin if you compare with a normal case ( is plastic)
The butterfly road case locks, looks like are the cheapest.
The prize is very attractive. The product is a must have

My best case ever
I bought this for a 1U sized wireless mic, plus I have a 2U drawer and a vents panel. The look, feel and handling of the setup is excellent. The case is very lightweight, but solid. It looks professional, the 4U size is just optimal, I am planning to buy a second one for my other stuff (power distributor, DMX, etc..) as it is a pleasure to use this little case. On the back side of one of the top covers there is a pocket where I can store 3 x 10 meter long XLR cables.

Awesome
Great quality, even greater price. Very stable and perfect depth if you want a compact shallow rack. I use it with my Ui16 and fits perfectly. The mesh compartment on one of the door is a great addition and very helpful too to store accessories inside.

Excellent value for money
Perfect little case for my wireless receivers. I intend to buy more of them to house my in-ear racks and future wireless equipment. Can't wait to see how well they stack. Build quality is good, not exceptional, but can't go wrong for the money.
