This is a top quality mute and the price here at Thomman is excellent.
It's very well made with large corks that are well glued in place and easily filed to tune the mute to your liking. The sound is great a little more bright than the usual H&B cardboard mutes but it's a great sound.
This thing looks like a work of art with it's polished aluminium. Not sure how well it'll stand up to knocks and bumps - but it's a mute, it'll survive!

Die Klangvielfalt auf dem Sektor der Cupdämpfer ist bekanntermaßen groß und eine Sache des Geschmacks. Ich habe mich für diesen entschieden. Der Klang, der noch nach Posaune und etwas offener klingt als bei anderen Cups, gefällt mir (Einsatzgebiet: Sinfonieorchester und Bläserphilharmonien). Außerdem hatte ich keine Lust auf eine der weit verbreiteten Umbaulösungen. Gut, gut!
