Much better than expected

Even though I got a bit confused about exactly what screws should go where (because the assembly instructions don't mention the first thing about it) I managed to put it together in about 1? hours. I will say, though, that you'll probably want some good Phillips head screw drivers at hand in a variety of sizes if you don't want to ruin the flimsy screws.

The wood — the neck in particular — was waaaayyy beyond what you'd expect in this price range. The electronics are alright. Not great, not horrible, just alright. The pick guard seems like it's made from butter but new ones are cheap and it's a good excuse to make your own so who cares? With a little patience and adjustment, it comes out sounding great. I bought a set of Fender flat wound strings for mine which really sits well with it. Didn't try the round wounds that were included with the kit-

I've only played a P-bass once before, and that was some 22 years ago, so I don't know if it's just a P-bass thing or something particular to this make and model, but the string spacing is huge. It's not a big deal, you get used to it quickly, but it kinda took me by surprise.

All in all, fun project, awesome result. Highly recommended.
