Really nice allround Crash
DB5002 15.04.2017
I enjoy playing my 18" "Traditional Dark Crash" very much. It feels very musical to me. Its sound is medium bright and not as aggressive as for example my Paiste 2002s. I use it in combination with a 18" "Turk" Crash which of course sounds much dryer and darker. Because of its medium weight I can play it in a very dynamic way. Even though I use it in a Rock/Metal Band I can cut through the guitars but still play relatively quiet and this way not destroy the ears of my bandmates in the rehearsal room. If you really hit hard it might not be the perfect choice.
I think the cymbal also works great in basically every other (pop) musical environment, from Jazz to Blues, Funk, unplugged surroundings or standard Rock/Pop.

I Like it very much and would buy it again.
But of course, because it is to a large degree handmade you should be aware of the fact that every specimen will sound a little bit different and should be checked out individually.
I feel this is generally the case with Istanbul cymbals.
But I don't mean that in a bad way :-)
