Insanely versatile humbuckers

I bought this along with the True Grit neck pickup. Well, I actually returned the bridge pickup again and bought the 53mm version from a different shop. Thomann didn't specify if it was the 50mm or 53mm, so I gambled and lost :) This one is the 50mm!!! HOWEVER, when I got the one with the correct spacing for my guitar I was amazed at how versatile this set is. I was expecting them to excel at hard rock and blues - and they really really do - but with the right amp they also sound brilliant for metal. They are clear and tight, but not too dry or trebly. Finding the sweet spot took some time, but it was worth it, so prepare to spend some time adjusting them to get them just right. You will not regret buying these!

Top Rocker+ guter BKP Einstieg

Da ich die andere Bareknuckle Pickups die ich habe echt spitze finde und auch mit Häussel etc. rumprobiert habe, wusste ich grob was mich erwarten würde. Der leicht günstigere Preis machte das ausprobieren leichter. Ist in meine Tokai LP Custom gewandert und BAM! Wie erwartet BKP Qualität. Toller Rocker und viel mehr, die "aktuellen" (Hand aufs Herz das ist aber auch schon seit 20+ Jahren der Fall) Amps benötigen nicht mehr das Keramik oder Outputmonster. Der Medium Output reicht vollkommen, würde ihn auf JB Niveau vom Feeling her sehen. Gute Mitten und Höhen nicht super Bass-lastig, was ich aber schätze, denn das aus einem Pickup zu bekommen ist anstrengender als Bässe am Amp/EQ/OD-Pedal reinzudrehen.
Habe ihn mit der A2 Variante am Neck in Kombo, löst gut auf, kann aber je nach Anschlagdynamik gut bretzeln.

Kurz - gefällt. Und verleitet mehr von der Boot Camp Linie auszuprobieren

Fantastic pickup

This pickup is great!

It was super easy to install due to the very well designed guide pamphlet, and the packaging has all the bells and whistles.

It's handmade and the quality shows. It's very articulate, sounds great and is super dynamic. I've since purchased another BKP from their own website through their builder, and let me tell you there is no actual difference in quality. The Boot Camp series is just more convenient to purchase because they're ready made, that's it.

The only thing I was considering was whether or not to get the True Grit or the Brute Force - This one has a great dynamic range, cleans up nicely and can really go when you need to.

All in all I'm very happy.

Super Pickup

Habe diesen Pickup an drei meiner Gitarren verbaut. Bin rundum zufrieden mit diesem Pickup ( habe schon einige andere durch). Er ist super vielseitig und für jedes Genre einsetzbar. Mir fiel auf, dass er am besten klingt, wenn man ihn nicht zu nah an die Saiten läßt. wie gesagt, für alle Genres: Hardrock/Classic Rock, Metal sowie Hardcore und Punk
