Fender Player Series Jaguar PF TPL

Me encanta el sonido que se le puede sacar. Lo primero que hice fue ponerle cuerdas del 010, ya que las que trae son del 009 y las encuentro muy blandas. El mayor problema ha sido ajustar cada cuerda para que no suene el famoso buzz, con mucha paciencia se puede conseguir, moviendo los tornillos hasta que nos suene bien, pero es el inconveniente del puente de las Jaguar. Una vez hecho esto, por el momento estoy muy contento. Los trastes no son tan afilados como había leído en alguna review, están muy bien. Además el mástil es muy suave y cómodo, y el diseño y pintura en general la convierten en una guitarra muy bonita.

Pros: diseño y sonido
Contras: ajustar el puente (probablemente mucha gente opte por cambiarlo directamente o comprar un buzz stop)

I bought this guitar as an intro to the offset line of Fenders and to use in my home studio and for jam sessions.

Pros:
+ The finishing and build are perfect. No sharp frets, a nice satin finished maple neck and modern tuners.
+ I like the versatile configurations with standard chunky Jaguar neck PU and a Humbucker with coil-tap in the bridge position with an additional coil-tap switch. People complain that the strings don't line up with bridge PU's pole pieces but I haven't noticed any adverse effects on the fat humbucker sound. The guitar sounds great.

Cons:
- This is personal taste, but I'm definitely not a fan of Pau Ferro fretboards. they feel somewhat dry and cheap looking.
- The biggest disappointment is the bridge. Get ready to spend time trying to adjust it so that the saddle screws stop rattling, after which you'll give up and just replace the entire bridge with either a Mustang or Mastery bridge. I replaced mine with a Mustang bridge and now the guitar plays and feels amazing with 11-gauge strings.

All in all, if you would like a good value for money Jaguar and the Squier logo bothers you, this guitar is perfect (after replacing the bridge of course).

Features: on the plus side, has a HB + coil tap which adds a lot to the Jag versatility. however does not have the rhythm circuit (which has separate volume+tone controls, and could be used as killswitch as well).

Sound: Great Jaguar sound from all 5 positions (coil tap adds 2 positions), but... I wish there was a separate tone/volume for the HB. I hope one can add this as a mod later. Tremolo system is what you can expect from this guitar :)

Quality: the pickup selector cap fell off from the start. No way the inspection slip was signed in this condition, otherwise build quality has never been so fragile for a guitar.
Apart from that, great build quality, love the color and neck finish. As many said, frets could have better finish, but no big deal.

Bottom line: delivers in flying colors

Wer diese Jaguar kauft bekommt auch eine. Soll heißen, dass die Jaguars und Jazzmaster Gitarren von Fender gewissen Aspekte haben die für manche eher negativ zugrunde schlagen oder auch positiv.

Ich wusste was mich erwartet, eine Jaguar mit all ihren Eigenheiten. Und die habe ich auch bekommen, und zwar eine verdammt gute!

Der Lack ist absolut der Hammer! Der sound der Stock PU's macht echt verdammt Spaß. Wollte aber etwas mehr Dampf und habe den Bridge PU gegen einen Standardmäßigen SH4 ausgetauscht.
Die Satteltasche ist wunderbar und die Gitarre ist sehr sehr gut ausbalanciert.

Pauo Ferro macht optisch super was her, als Palisander Alternative. Fühlt sich halt etwas rau/trocken an, aber ich kann damit leben.

Der Hals ist weder zu schmal, noch zu wuchtig. Das Griffbrett hört an den Kanten des Holzes straight auf und ist dort nicht abgerundet. Ich persönlich mag es etwas geschmeidiger bei Gitarrenhälsen, was diesen Aspekt angeht, aber auch hier ist das alles Geschmackssache.

Zudem hat dieses Jaguar Modell weniger Schalter und Regler was ich in der Hinsicht sehr positiv finde, da man so weniger Punkte hat, die durch Staub/Dreck in Mitleidenschaft gezogen werden können.

Ich hatte absolut keine Verarbeitungsmängel an der Gitarre außer etwas kantige Bundstabenden. Ansonsten kam sieTipTop bei mir an.

Wer ne Jaguar sucht, die unter 1k kostet UND sich wunderbar spielen und hören lässt, dem empfehle ich dieses Modell auf jeden Fall!
Dennoch, Jaguars und die Jazzmsater Modelle haben gewisse Eigenheiten über die man sich vor dem Kauf im Klaren sein sollte.

Für mich persönlich eine tolle Gitarre die mir sehr viel Spaß macht.

Habe allerdings die Bridge fixiert, sodass sie nichtmehr hin und her wackelt (das und noch ein paar andere Modifikationen im Bezug auf die Jaguar Eigenheiten, würden mich, milde gesagt, in einigen Jaguar/jazzmaster-Foren mehr als meinen Hals kosten) .
