Sontronics STC-3X Pack black

Lo he comprado para mejorar el audio de mis dos saxos y mi voz en videos docentes. ¡Reproduce exactamente lo mismo que se oye al natural!: el cuerpo de graves, medios y agudos, con lo cual he conseguido justo lo que quería. Era una marca desconocida para mi, pero opté por él por sus características y posibilidades de configuración, y por presupuesto. Aunque tenía dudas hasta su recepción, al probarlo he visto que he comprado un micrófono profesional de estudio que me permite grabar cualquier cosa con calidad excepcional. Pesa tanto que se comba la jirafa del soporte del micro!! Lo cual implica robustez y calidad. Su compra ha sido un gran acierto por mi parte y estoy absolutamente feliz, satisfecho y orgulloso de este pedazo de microfono. Agradecido tambien a Thomann por su impecable servicio.

I really love this mic, I used it for 5 years to record....everything:
- Hammond organ Leslie (in Omni AB pair, sounds huge!)
- Vocals (singing and speech)
- Acoustic guitar
- Drums overheads and mono mic above the kick batter rim
- guitar/drums room (in Blumlein <3)
- Kick drum out (Yes, it works on it as well!)

I own 2 of these and one STC-2X (same but without the figure of 8 pattern option), and they are my primary choice on mostly everything for which I need LDCs.

IMHO, very often, compared to it, most Neumann mics are just plain cold useless machines.
If I had to sell all my studio gear, I would still keep a pair of these, 2 Sennheiser MD-421 and 2 Schoeps CMC6-MK41. No real need for anything else.

I choose STC-3X for these uses:

In cardioid mode:

Acoustic guitar, vocals (sung & spoken), piano, other acoustic instruments (flute, panpipes!, saxophone, other brass & woodwind), other plucked instruments such as banjo and harp, guitar amps, percussion

In omni mode:

Round-table discussion/interview, overhead for solo and ensemble instruments, choir, string quartet, drum overhead, room/ambient miking

In figure-of-eight mode:

1+1 interview, backing vocals (standing on opposite sides of the mic), cello, flute, other solo string and woodwind, etc, etc

One of the nice features of the design of this pack is the adjustable pop shield that attaches to the shock mount. This provides a nice user firendly way of quickly setting up to record vocals or voiceover. Simply secure to two butterfly bolts and your away. No annoying flexi-arm which can be irritating, and no attachment to the mic stand. This lack of attachment helps you to record everything so much cleaner, especially in conjunction with the shock mount.

So well played Sontronics, i can’t really fault you at all with this mic, it does exactly what i expected it to do and more, great job!
