The cello lost a star because of it. The paint chips away, my kid sometimes hits the cello's edges with the metal handle of the bow (not a strong hit) and paints chips away. I could blame this on childhood restlessness.
Bottom line: it doesn't sound cheap, sound is reach enough to love the cello and its music. My kid fell in love with the cello the moment he touched it.

Bought without knowing it's made in China. The bridge of string A was a defective. Request of refund instead of replacement suggested by our cello tutor. Returned and got broken during transportation within 30 days of purchase. Got full refund though.

Stände ich noch einmal vor der Wahl, würde ich mich wieder für das SR1102 Cello Student I von Stentor entscheiden.
