I bet this was the kind of job were someone at Nord sent the measurements to a factory in China without over seeing a product sample before going into production. The material is a thin weaved fabric, which I suppose does the job as a dust cover, but the problem is that it is not fitted to the instrument at all, it’s just a “sqaure fit” where the instrument has different elevations for the two manuals. Not such a big problem in itself, it’s just a dust cover, remember. But the biggest problem is that the poor fit, combined with cheap thin material, combined with the fact that it was packaged in a way that left deep creases in the material that makes it want to fold “back up” means that it is very hard to actually get the cover to sit on the instrument and stay there. The slightest bit of wind and the dust cove will be on the floor. So for the moment my procedure when leaving my instrument is to struggle for a minute or two getting the cover fitted, then put weights in either side of the instrument on top of the cover to make sure it will still be on there doing its job when I return to play the next time. Absolute waste of time and money. A bedsheet would do a significantly better job.
