Super Jazz alto mouhtpiece, easy to play and blow

This product is well designed and very well manufactured. It seemed to play best with a Vandoren MO ligature and Forestone Hinoki MS reed, or the Rico Jazz select. It responds very well and produced a big colourful tone with excellent technical quality. It is serial numbered, a further sign of quality control. The oversized box its sold in is poor and risks damaging the facing. They wasted money on the lavish box art to. Although its a shorter mouthpiece there were no tuning issues or trouble making a consistent tone from the lowest to highest notes. Being honest I was not totally impressed on the first playing but got used to it and enjoyed using it for 2 years. Unlike some other brands it did not change colour and stink of sulphur nor seem to play worse. This is a good reliable product made from decent materials. I cannot think of a meyer or link I've tried that was as good as this ever. You can find many playing reviews on YouTube of happy owners playing jazz and big band, not one negative comment. My son used this mouthpiece aged 10 to learn alto in preference to a Vandoren Optimum (a very easy mouthpiece to control).

Beautifully constructed

A huge step up from my Yamaha 4c. Fabulous balanced tones which adds a professional sound. The type of mouthpiece that makes an average Saxaphone sound like a real pro.

Also, nachdem ich zweieinhalb Jahre lang mit dem Yamaha 4C gespielt habe, hat mein Lehrer mir zu einem neuen Mundstück geraten, was besser zu meinen Soundwünschen passt. Nach einigem hin und her probieren, bin ich schließlich bei diesem hier gelandet.
Ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden - Es spricht bei mir toll an, mein Sound klingt schöner (ist natürlich immer Geschmackssache) und ich komme meinem Wunschsound damit auch viel näher.
Was vielleicht auch interessant ist: Das MP ist recht eng, also der Kork am S-Bogen braucht wirklich regelmäßig Korkfett, wenn man dieses MP benutzt.
Insgesamt bin ich aber sehr glücklich damit.

Nachtrag: Mittlerweile habe ich mich absolut an das Mundstück ngewöhnt, genügend Luft dafür usw. Es ist sehr leicht, darauf laut zu spielen - Für mich viel leichter als auf dem Yamaha 4C. Jetzt arbeite ich daran, wieder leiser spielen zu können, aber auch das geht gut - erfordert nur bessere Technik, so wie immer und überall :-) . (Ich spiele seit ca. dreieinhalb Jahren, also bin wirklich noch am Anfang)

Guter Sound - unbedingt ausprobieren

Ich habe mir mal dieses Mundstück bestellt. Das 5M hat einen leicht nasalen Sound, den ich persönlich auf dem Altsax sehr mag. Die Ansprache ist prima. Es ist auf jeden Fall eine gute Alternative für Meyer und Otto Link und Vandoren V16 und sollte auf jeden Fall mal ausprobiert werden. Das 5er war mir dann aber doch ein bisschen zu eng. Ein 6er wäre optimal! (für mich!)
