Great, but ONLY if you play loud

It does what it says. And there is no *drop* in the sound quality, if you don't drop the tuning too much. Eb, D and C# works fine. Maybe even C. But it doesn't replace a 7-string and going too low will deteriorate the sound notably.

Word or WARNING!!!! You HAVE TO play on high volume, to use this pedal (basically, band volume where a drummer with his 100 dB playing requires others to compensate with volume).

Otherwise you'll hear the acoustic sound of your guitar, from different key, and it will sound horrible to anyone with musical ear. This sadly happened also with headphones I use for studio work, unless I put the headphone volume so loud (to bury the acoustic ring of my guitar), that it became unpleasant. I tested 4 different headphones, none of them could insulate the exterior sound enough. My Jackson has a loud acoustic sound I guess, but that's a sign of a good solid body electric guitar (= loud even without amp).

I'm still able to use this pedal in studio, to record rhythm guitars, because on low strings you won't hear the acoustic ring of your guitar that much. But on solo playing, it's definitely a problem.

Sadly I bought this mostly for studio work, and it doesn't meet my expectations there. But it's not the fault of the product, the product does what it says and sound and build quality is great. But this is primarily for BAND and LIVE playing, not studio work / bedroom guitarists.

Laitteella on yksi tehtävä ja sen se hoitaa loistavasti, ei viivettä eikä häiriöääniä. Paksu metallikuori ja muutenkin erittäin kestävän oloinen, toivottavasti tällä mennään vuosia eteenpäin. Olen käyttänyt sekä kitaran ja vahvistimen välissä että kitaran ja tietokoneen välissä pelatessa Rocksmithia. Mukana tuleva virtalähde OK mutta ei hehku samanlaista laatua kuin itse pedaali. Hintansa arvoinen!

Hommasin tämän floikkakitaralle nopeaan vireenvaihtoon.
Käyttö onkin tosi näppärää ja äänenlaatu hyvä.
Ongelmana on tosin se, että hiljaisemmalla volyymillä soitettaessa sähkökitaran kielten akustinen (oikea vire) sointi kuuluu ainakin minun kitarassa kuitenkin selvästi. Äänimaailma on täten sekavan oloinen ja haittaa soittoa. Jos volyymitasoa nostaa reippaasti, ongelma vähenee/katoaa. Hyvä vehje varmaan bänditreenikäytössä jne. kun voit luukuttaa kitaraa kunnolla.

Amazing drop pedal for all bass and guitar players. Especially for those who play in bands and don't have a ton of money.

This pedal has basically all of the problems that other drop/pitch shifter pedals have. Those problems would be, getting too much low end on lower settings and latency (the lag in the signal). This pedal has almost no problems with those. Of course it will run into them when your going down an octave or something but I've had no problems with the sound even when going down 5 semitones. (That would make a drop D tuned guitar into a Drop A. For those who need reference, Drop D is Lamb of God-Redneck tuning and Drop A is Slipknot-Devil in I tuning. Considering the latency problem, you can barely notice it. You can notice it if your looking at like a sound-wave on a computer screen, but it's almost impossible to hear.
