Bit Crusher
Produces 80s-style lo-fi sounds reminiscent of early arcade games, home consoles and home computers
Reduces the sample rate from 48 kHz to 110 Hz, which leads to reduced audio quality and aliasing, ranging from fairly "clean" sounds to unrecognizable "crushed" sounds
Bit crushing from 24 bits to 1 bit increases sampling errors that creatively degrade the sound quality for dirty "old school" sounds
Selectable high / low / band pass filter
Sample Rate Tuning mode analyzes the input signal in real time and adjusts the sample rate to match the pitch of your signal or a specified interval above your signal
Programmable preset or expression pedal setting allows the sound to be saved or any combination of the controls on the mainframe to be controlled with an external expression pedal
Controls: Vol, Blend, Bit Depth, Sample Rate, Peak, Freq
Push buttons: EXP / Preset

The pedal has loads of features, letting you explore different way of using downsampling to distort the sound and add different overtones. Especially the option to connect an expression pedal gives you a multitude of options in sound shaping. Especially the filter option is a brilliant touch. Be sure to look through the manual to unlock the full potential of the pedal.
On the downside the knobs are small with very little space in between, and the exp. jack is placed very close to the input jack meaning some cables will not fit at the same time. But these are minor concerns.

Poco di più di un banale Bit Crusher

Inizialmente piuttosto deluso. Sin dalla progettazione poco attenta, dove in un pedalino di dimensioni assai ridotte sono stati posizionati 6 potenziometri vicinissimi e duri da modulare, tanto da non riuscire ad utilizzarli con facilità poiché non vi è spazio sufficiente per le dita.
Deludente mi è parsa anche la risposta che da con un pedale d'espressione, ma poi lavorandoci un attimo si trova il modo di renderlo utile. Anche le caratteristiche e le possibilità di modulare il suono mi son sembrate meno complete di quel che mi aspettavo, ma smanettandoci ha evidenziato altre potenzialità, come quello di trarne un interessante suono simile ad un Fuzz molto sporco e "granulare".
In sostanza inizialmente mi ha un po' deluso, perché mi è parso poco di più di un banale Bit Crusher, ma lavorandoci il pedale fornisce sicuramente una buona gamma di possibilità di modulare il suono, e con un po' di pazienza si possono ottenere senza dubbio alcuni suoni interessanti e caratteristi. Infine la qualità del suono è sicuramente molto buona.

Bon Bit Crusher.

Très bonne surprise. Je pense que cette pédale va me permettre de sortir des sentiers battus, particulièrement sur des guitares (dégueulasser de la fuzz dans d'autres recoins) et des synthés, à tenter sur d'autres choses (batteries, groupes de pistes, mix entier, etc...)..

Regardez les vidéos de démos si vous voulez savoir comment elle fait sonner ce qui passe dedans. Elle n'est clairement pas conçue pour plaire à tout le monde. Mais elle fait très bien ce qu'on lui demande.

Personnellement, c'est exactement ce à quoi je m'attendais, donc pas de déception, elle fait ce que j'en attendais et plus. En branchant une pédale d'expression et en la paramétrant, c'est juste du grand n'importe quoi.

Après, ce n'est pas comme si les bonnes pédales de bit crush à un prix "décent" (parce que quand même, elle est chère, mais j'ai pas les moyens de racheter du DBA), ça courait les rues, donc c'est plutôt sympathique de ne pas être déçu.

Niveau qualité de fabrication : similaire à tout ce qu'EHX peut proposer.
