Upeat Kielet!

Ostin nämä kielet kun vaikuttivat hyvän hinta/laatu suhteen omaavilta arvosteluiden perusteella.

Itselläni yhtenä G&O L.2000 Usa ,ja basson luonne muuttui ihan hemmetisti kun nämä siihen asensin.

Tykkään että soitettavuus pitää instrumentissa olla mahdollisimman kevyt,ja näillä kielillä sain säädettyä kielet viimeinkin haluamalleni tasolle,ei särise yhtään nauhoissa.
Ja soundi on hyvin tanakka,mutta kuitenkin korkeammat soinnutkin soivat puhtaasti.
Tämän hetkinen fiilis on tosi hyvä noista Flatwoundeista,saa nyt nähdä miten sitten kestävät käyttöä,mutta muiden arvosteluiden perusteella ongelmia ei pitäisi tulla.

Great flatwound strings

These strings rock. They're not quite as expensive as Rotosound flatwounds for example, and provide a tone that at first is pretty bright - surprisingly good for rock & metal type of music, and not a mile away from the brightness of fresh Rotosound flatwounds. Then they develop a thumpier tone, but retain a bit of growl & definition. The strings have got great mids, and I prefer the tone of these flatwounds to D'Addario Chromes for example. Rotosounds are in a league of their own, but also come with a bigger price tag and die very quickly in comparison - if you're adamant about retaining the initial brightness. Anyway, these Fender flats are great for many genres & styles!

Tukevaa soundia esim. jazz bassoon

Laitoin nämä jazz bassoon, jossa olen vaihdellut kieliä ja etsinyt sitä oikeaa yhdistelmää. Nyt löytyi! Näiden soundi muuttuu tummemmaksi muutaman ensimmäisen kuukauden aikana, mutta heti aluksikin nämä ovat aivan käyttökelpoiset. Sustainia ja kirkkautta on enemmän kuin useissa muissa hiotuissa kielissä, mutta oikeastaan kaikki flättien hyvät puolet kuitenkin löytyy. Ja vihreät silkit kielien päässä on upeat, vaikka ei ne taida ihan levylle asti kuuluakaan.

Good strings for a "modern" flatwound tone. Not for old school thump.

I believe these strings are manufactured by D'Addario but they're not the same as the D'Addario Chromes. I've never liked the Chromes, they're too stiff and metallic/bright for my taste. With this in mind I didn't really expect to like the Fender flats but I wanted to give them a chance.

I actually like them more than I expected. They certainly have a bit of initial metallic brightness but unlike the D'Addario Chromes they slowly mellow out into a nicer, warmer tone (D'Addario Chromes just go completely dead in a really bad way).

These Fender flats will never sound of feel like proper old school flats though. They are brigher, feel stiffer and are lacking the "bouncy" feel of classic flatwound strings. You will never get a Motown thump or a 60s vibe out of these strings. These Fender flats will never get that bouncy feel and thumpy tone. They will also retain a certain midrange "grind" that you won't get with old school flats. Whether this is good or bad will of course depend on what kind of tone/feel you're looking for. Just be aware that these strings will not sound of feel even remotely like old school flats. If you're looking for THAT kind of tone/vibe you will be far better off with LaBella, Pyramid, Optima or any of the other old school flats that are available.

If you're looking for a set of stiffer "modern" flats with a tone that leans a bit towards roundwounds you might like these Fenders.
