Alkukatsaus.

Well made, quality protection

The Fender Deluxe is basically the same spec as the ones supplied with most of Fender's US made vintage series, other than it has red padded as opposed to orange,

I intended use is to house my American Vintage Tele, which I bought caseless.

The case is well made, it combines lightness, with solid construction and vintage styling. Overall it is thinner than some budget cases, this makes it easy to handle. the sides are also pleasantly contoured to a wide radius.

Externally the tweed is very well applied, there are no potential frays or tears. The tan vinyl end protectors are solid and all stitching is good. The catches are smooth and engage easily, there is no danger of them popping open by accident. The case is lockable and the handle is well attached and comfortable to hold.

Internally the case looks a little sparse in that there is no body shaped padding, however when you place a strat or tele type guitar inside it occupies the space very snugly, with no option for movement.

The poodle plush looks great, feels great and will protect the finish of the guitar against rubs and bumps,

There is a popper seal storage compartment that is very spacious, it can hold leads, straps tuners and spare strings with space to spare. The ability to close this with a popper is really good as it prevents contents from spilling out and rattling around your case damaging the guitar.

Okay, cost wise this is at the upper end of case prices (although Thomann are still a lot cheaper than UK suppliers - even considering how sterling is against the euro right now!). The case is definitely worth it - however if you are looking for a similar look but don't want to spend as much take a look at Thomann's own brand tweed case - they are well made and excellent value if not not quite as refined.

I would totally recommend this case - it's great for an S ot T type guitar, but it's especially well suited to anything with a vintage vibe. Unlike a lot of cheaper case I would have confidence taking a case like this on the road.

I was very satisfied with buying from Thomann. This G&G case was well packed in original sealed box from the factory! Plus extra box for protection , which I think is very careful!
I first thought to buy the cheaper box from Fender , but with this very good price from Thomann ,I bought the G&G for sure . Now I have one which you see at Fender custom shop. The reason why I think the double box protection is so important : I bought once a Fender custom shop guitar in a well known company in UK , and on arrival only the original box from Fender sealed with brown tape that was almost torn and yes: Strat ready to slip out!
So I will buy again with Thomann for sure! German Top Seller! 👍

Solid case with vintage flavour

If you're like me and your insurance company requires that you store your guitars in cases but not all the guitars you buy include cases then you need something stylish and timeless, and this is it. A classic case, made by G&G, with a superb tweed look, it has reliable latches and locks, a sturdy handle and it comes with that "new-case-smell" that's only surpassed by "new-nitro-smell" when there's an expensive guitar in it! The downside to these of course is that people assume there's an expensive guitar in is so you might disappoint them when you open it up to reveal your Hello Kitty Squier, but it serves its purpose well. The tweed is prone to getting scuffed a bit if you chuck it around a lot but that's just "relic'ing" done by nature of course. Someday I'm sure Fender will start charging more for pre-roadworn cases, but until that day comes, buy one of these and do it yourself.
