Special sound

This is a fun instrument, no sharp notes and when I bought mine there was no model with sharp notes available. The sound is short but forceful, almost rhythmic and works very well for reinforcing hook and riffs both for acoustic and electric instrument. It has none of the bell like ring of the metallophone and while they may look like very similar instruments the sounds they produce inspires very different kinds of music. This instrument has more of a dark feel to it whereas the metallophone is bright and airy this is dark and damp. This is an instrument well suited for making interesting rhythmic backgrounds especially when used in combination with electric guitar.

beautiful and warm sound

It is well tuned (usualy xylophones for chidren are not tuned really good), and has pleasant, warm sound. Great toy for children, it is not annoying at all because of its warm and beautiful sound.

Cuando compré este producto, lo hice por su precio.
Quería llevar a mi aula de música instrumentos de láminas que no fueran metalófonos o carillones que por su precio, era lo que tenía hasta ahora. Quería algún Xilófono. En este sentido, tengo lo que quería. Mis alumnos pueden practicar cómo tocar un instrumento de placas y conocer la diferencia entre Xilófono y Metalófono.

Ahora bien, una vez que los he utilizado, creo que hubiera preferido gastar un poco más en un modelo que ofreciera mayor calidad de sonido.

La afinación apenas se aprecia, al menos para los alumnos. El sonido es prácticamente el de una caja china, pero con una proyección mínima y una afinación poco clara.

El hecho de que no tenga caja de resonancia, en este sentido es muy influyente.

Para que os hagáis una idea del "volumen" que ofrece, un sólo metalófono tapa el sonido de los cinco xilófonos que tengo como este.

Si tienes presupuesto para algo un poco mejor, te merecerá la pena.

gut gestimmt, nicht zu laut, solide

Von günstigeren Instrumenten dieser Art (unterhalb von 20 EUR) weiß ich, dass sie oftmals in sich nicht richtig gestimmt sind. Das ist beim Goldon Modell 11200 nicht der Fall, so dass sich Melodien schön spielen lassen. Der schrille und vor allem laute Klang unseres Metallophons war für uns schwer verkraftbar, weshalb wir uns für das Goldon Xylophon entschieden. Der Klang ist schön und variiert je nach Unterlage, auf die das Instrument gestellt wird; davon abhängig kann die Lautstärke natürlich größer oder geringer ausfallen

Für unseren Zweijährigen war es jedenfalls ein gutes Instrument, obwohl er es nur kurz nutzte, da er wenige Monate später auf Melodika umstieg.
