HB Chorus Bassolle

Täysin kokeiluostos bassolle.
En ole siis kokeillut edes kitaran kanssa purkkia. Ja hieman pelkäsin mitä HB laatu on.
Noh, tämä on vielä "Custom Line", ja kun hintakaan ei ollut paha, niin miksi ei kokeiluun.

Käytän tätä vain hieman värittämään bassosoundia, ja täyttämään Trio-soitossa basson omaa taajuusaluetta.
Pidän efektiä erittäin miedolla, ja soundi miellytti heti ekoissa treeneissä.

Purkki on jatkuvasti päällä, ja varsinkin basson ylätaajuuksilla sekä ylänauhoilla "herää eloon".
Soundissa on jotain sellaista 70-luvun hippi-proge-fiilistä, joka nostaa hymyn huulille ja innostaa soittamaan bassoa ylänauhoilta.

Jostain syystä en ole uskaltanut kokeilla kitaran kanssa, ettei purkki tuottaisi pettymystä, sillä basson kanssa se vörkkii niin hyvin.

Efektin voimakkuus on aina maku asia, ja omani osuu sinne miedompaan päähän.

Toimii siis bassolla!

A great pick for a first chorus.

While it may lack some of the lushness of the real high-end classic choruses, this big box of joy is offering nice and joyful chorus tones, be it for your Zakk Wylde fantasies or lush clean arpeggios. The construction is solid and the controls are intuitive to use, and experimentation offers wonderful results.
The only real downside is the size of the pedal, taking some serious real estate on the pedal board, but since the connectors are all on the top side of the pedal, even this is slightly alleviated.

All in all, a good vintage-style chorus well worth the asking price.

A good entry level chorus

This was a gift to a guitarist that never had a chorus before. I did get a chance to do a round of testing with it myself.

Pros:
- Very usable chorus sound
- Quite a wide range of controls to get from the most subtle to flange territory
- Very affordable and good value for money

Cons:
- Not the highest quality HB pedal, for example, the HB looper feels a lot more solid.
- Takes a lot of space
- Does add a colour to the tone

Overall, this is a perfectly acceptable option and the person who was the gift for enjoys it immensely, but this is a case of you get what you pay for (that is not true for all HB pedals). The button does not feel very high quality neither do the knobs and it feels a bit flimsy. The tone is altered when the pedal is in the chain and is altered even more when the pedal is engaged, even if the effect levels are subtle. It is not a bad tone per se but be aware.

In conclusion, I would definitely recommend to those who would like to try a chorus but if you are serious about your chorus save some money and go a price point higher.

For this price, I could not expect more from this pedal....
Very sensitive knobs setting, offers a very deep and cold chorus, which I like very much.
Metal casing, which proves to be very durable as compared to plastic casing pedals, a fits for heavy duty live situation.

I would recommend anyone to purchase this chorus pedal Custom Line from Harley Benton.
