Pure Preamp & Pure Mini -yhdistelmä

Olen käyttänyt kyseistä etuvahvistinta usein kehutun K&K Pure Mini -mikrofonin kaverina akustisessa kitarassa. Teknisesti varsin karua tekoa, mutta yhdistelmä on täyttänyt odotukset kiitettävästi: ei yllätä, mutta toimittaa tehtävänsä mainiosti. Ja ilman häiriöitä!

Itse suosin yksinkertaista, vaivatonta ja tasapainoista tekniikkaa soittolaitteissa. Kokeilin alkuun Pure Miniä "raakana" suoraan mikserivahvistimeen, mutta ilmeisesti impedanssi- tms. syistä ääni oli hyvin kuivakka. Laitteisiin vihkiytyneempi kaveri varmaan listaisi vaihtoehtoisia (ja monipuolisempiakin) laitteita, vaan omalla kohdalla Pure Preamp riitti korjaamaan tilanteen, ja olen sittemmin ollut tyytyväinen.

Pakkauksessa mukana vyöklipsi, jolla mötikän voi ripustaa vyölle tai vaikka nuottitelineeseen.

Toinen K&K preamp meikäläisellä. Ensimmäinen sai 5 vuoden aikana sen verran siipeensä, että lopulta alkoi pätkimään. Kestäviä laitteita nämä kyllä ovat todellakin!

Kotelo metallia. Vyö Klipsi kiinnittyy vanhemmasta mallista poiketen koteloon tarralla. Pysyy kyllä hyvin kasassa ja kiinni esim. kitarasträpissä.

Hyvät ja toimivat sävysäädöt (bass-mid-trebele) ja volyme käden ulottuvilla on tottakai hyvä keikalla. Käytän tätä akustisessa skitassa jossa K&K puremini mikit, joten yhteensopivuus siltä osin toimii. Varmaan toimii myös muiden mikkien kanssa, vaikka en kyllä ole kokeillut.

Works a line input great.

I wanted a "clean" preamp with some EQ adjustment, but enough "clean" output to make my magnetic acoustic guitar p'up usable in any amplifiers line input at a good level.

This does that job pretty well faultlessly. There is an extra potentiometer inside for even more (or less) signal output if you need it.

EQ works OK, but the EQ knobs also work like a volume control, cutting or boosting the output signal as I cut or boost the treble, mid or bass controls. With all EQ knobs central is the best setting for me.

Construction is feeble, stand on this once and it's finished, as the end plates with knobs & jack sockets are not secured good enough, leaving the circuit board to take your body weight. Saying that, there is only 3 or 4 components inside so a repair, or complete rebuild will not be a big job for the DIY'ers among us.

Rubber feet or belt clip are adhesive attached, not really good enough for this €100 price tag.

But it does a real good job of the boost & clean sound, so I will keep this one & avoid standing on it.
Still using it a few years later, still doing a good job for me.

It?s sounds fantastic but I?ve got nothing to compare it with !

I bought a custom shop Gibson J45 as my posh acoustic and it was fitted with a K & K pick-up.
I use the guitar mainly for recording, and had been blending the pickup sound with a condenser at the neck join area . . For my ears the sound was pretty stunning,.
I toyed with doing an unplugged portion at my gigs, and decided that I?d try the pre-amp to get a little bit better control without having to knob twiddle at the desk. . .
The pre-amp makes a HUGE difference, the sound is very rich and big through a pa , and also great in recording, I now frequently don?t bother with a room mic for an acoustic rhythm part.
It is also very simple , which live I think is important in a live situation.
I don?t have any other pre-amps to compare it with , so depending on your experience my thoughts can be taken with a pinch of salt.
I also use it as a DI box for bass guitar , and again it gives a depth and clarity for recording that seems to blend perfectly.
I take a while to select products based on internet research more than trialling gear but it would seem obvious to me to pick this pre-amp if you have the pick-up ?
