Very great instrument especially considering the price point.
This bass really is as good as reviewed. Generally and overall the quality is nice and beats easily every other instrument in the same price range, perhaps even 2 times as expensive ones. Seriously.

The pre-amp is pretty good and provides a very, very strong sound. It has a quite wide EQ to get the desired sound. The range is just stunning going from deep, warm round solid ground to clear and bright metallic, almost modern "hi-fi" -kind of sound. Works very well in very different types of music,
The passive sound is nothing spectacular tho, have to say, but it will do the job.

The neck feels nice on hand. For the 5-sting it's not too wide, I come from 4-sting background and it's relatively easy to adapt. The matte, satin like finish is very nice and makes the neck feel smooth and fast to get around. I really love that. The B-sting plays and sounds solid enough, pretty much what you'd expect from a 5-string Jazzer.

Overall the quality is very nice, especially in the price point and I was positively surprised. The only cons that comes in my mind are the EQ in active (and passive) setup is kind of weird and confusing, at least for the start. It's not as intuitive as I'd prefer and I think they could have done a better job on that. Also the active/passive switch is placed in a bit awkward position. One can get used with the controls via time thought, but it doesn't erase the fact it could have done better.
My other con goes to fret finishing, they are a bit sharp on the edges. You won't notice it first but it's kind of there when one takes a closer look at it. It's nothing major or that noticeable tho probably wouldn't notice it without someone pointing it out. It doesn't really affect on how the bass feels on the hand or how it plays, or how it feels to play. It just feels like they could have give it a bit more attention into it, to make it feel a bit more refined and to continue the overall quality the instrument has. I need to say I come from 4-string -70¨Fender Jazz with a top notch quality and finishing so this may sound a bit too harsh. I still give this bass a 5 star for quality because in overall it just feels so nice.

For me personally, I was looking at relatively cheap, or would I say affordable (around 1.000€), 5-string bass to fill the void on that (low-end) area and I can tell I am very satisfied. If you are on the same situation look no further, this bass will do the trick. I was so impressed that I'm considering to get a 4-string version as well, alltho I already have a decent 4-string bass in my gear.

I don't really have any opinion of the Burgundy color. I went for it just for the LOLs. I thouht it looked nice, and it does.
I play quite heavy rock/metal and if anyone is to judge me 'bout playing pinkish purple bass, well..., let the deep, tough, solid bass-sound speak its language for me.

This is a good bass. period.
