Stick with Neutrik

Having previously tried cheaper brands of XLR connector, and learned my lesson the hard-way, I returned to Neutrik and was not disappointed. XLR connectors are not all made equal and, especially for more than three pins, it's worth paying a little more for the increased robustness. Cheaper makes often won't tolerate re-soldering well and/or have inferior plastic parts that melt or split easily costing more in the long-run. I've even had some that don't mate correctly with chassis sockets because of poor tolerances on the shell dimensions. Stick with Neutrik !

Good Connector

The 5 pin connectors like with other brands I find to be a little trickier to solder than 3 pins due to the smaller opening for the wire to be inserted in the pin. It would be nice if the openings were slightly larger on the pins to allow the shield wire to make better contact with the solder joint.

Other than that the usual great quality product from Neutrik!

Would expect nothing less

As with all Neutrik products the product is of top quality. A well made connector which is resistant to all different types of events. As a hire company we always wish to convey a high level of professionalism and quality which is why we always use Neutrik as we can consistently rely on an excellent product.

I have been using hundreds of Neutrik connectors for years and never had a single failure. They are nicely built, very tough, and solder-friendly. Can't recommend them enough!
