Protec PBTRIALT Tri Pac Alt/Clar/Fl

As a multi instrumentalist, I needed a case which holds multiple instruments as I play for a lot of musicals and concerts. This case is pecfect holding a buffet alto saxophone, a sapphire rare clarinet and a pearl flute. Each instrument fits really well and both the flute and clarinet cases come out to be used sepretly. The quality can not be matched and protec always make the best cases.
Storage is great, pocked on the front holds plenty of reed and other accessories and it also holds my piccolo. The storage bag in the actual case is great, come outs and will hold reeds, mouthpieces and crook.

I've wanted a gig bag that takes Alto sax, clarinet and flute for years and often thought of making one! Finding one made of good quality materials like this protec model has been a godsend! I'm not sure if it's down to the overall combined weight of the contents that the shoulder strap stitching (case to strap) has started to come undone after only a few months of use. So I try to use the main carry handles to avoid it worsening. A big thumbs up though!! Love it!! I'm not a complainer so I've not told Thomann or Protec about this tiny manufacturing issue!! Lots of my colleagues like my case but I'm not sure they'd part with their cash to copy my space saving purchase!! Highly recommendable though!!

I love this case. As a sax and clarinet player, I was fed up carrying two instrument cases and this was one of the few cases that could carry both - and it does so very neatly. Not only that, it can carry a flute too. What a clever design. The outside pockets have plenty of space of music, reeds and accessories. The interior of the case feels quite plush. There is also storage inside for some spare reeds and a swab but not loads of interior storage space. A great case.

Habe mir den 3-Fach-Koffer bestellt, da ich Querflöte, Piccolo und Altsaxophon spiele und mir die Kofferschlepperei etwas erleichtern wollte! ;))

- der äußere Eindruck war sehr gut. Stabile Griffe und Standfüsse, saubere Verarbeitung, stabiles Material.

- Aussentasche für diverses Kleinzeug, dünne Notenmappen passen auch rein.

- der Koffer ist nur unwesentlich größer als der Originalkoffer meines Saxophons.

- mein Yamaha YAS32 passt Perfekt hinein.
Dabei ist eine separate Tasche für S-Bogen und Mundstück die mit Klettverschlüssen sicher verschlossen wird.
Allerdings passt mein Mundstück mit Rowner-Blattzwinge nur knapp hinein!

- meine Yamaha Querflöte 371H passt in das Flötenetui nicht wirklich. Die Form für das Mittelstück ist nicht Passgenau. Die Aussparung für die as-Klappe ist zu klein, die b-Klappe Sitz auf und drückt die Polster zu. Drehe ich das Mittelstück etwas, passt zwar die as-Klappe, dafür liegen die Polster d-g auf dem Etuisamt auf.
Das Fach für den Flötenkopf ist sehr eng.
Für den Transport ist das Flötenetiu ok, aber nicht als dauerhafte Lagersätte für die Flöte geeignet!

- das Zubehörfach ist etwas klein bemessen.

- der zusätzlich bestellte Rückentragegurt ist nicht vertrauenserweckend! Die Verbindung Koffer-Rückengurt ist nicht fest genug dass ich ihm 3 Instrumente anvertrauen möchte!!

Ich behalte den Koffer trotzdem und habe ihn für meine Bedürfnisse umgebaut:
- Das Klarinetten-Fach habe ich entfernt, Samt eingeklebt und ist jetzt ein geräumiges Zubehörfach, in dem auch Flöten- und Piccoloständer Platz finden.

- In das ehemalige Zubehörfach habe ich mir selber einen Einsatz für das Piccolo gebaut.

- Das Flötenetui habe ich bestmöglichst angepasst.

Die Idee mit 3 in 1 ist top! Allerdings ist die Kombi mit Klarinette und Flöte ungewöhnlich!
Viele Flötisten spielen Piccolo und Altsaxophon!!! Da wäre eine 3 in1-Lösung wünschenswert!
