Beautiful cello for a beginner
This cello looks absolutely stunning. After playing the violin for 20 years(and obviously hearing some cello's too) , I can tell that the sound is not too bad for a cello in this price range. Possibly changing the strings could improve the sound a little, but as a beginner with the cello, I am happy with what I have.
The bow seems sturdy enough and the pegs for tuning work just fine, no sliding.
The instructions for setting up were simple and clear and just easy to follow.
Unfortunately, I had an accident and the neck broke. My cello may have had a small crack in the wood used for the neck. Bacteria got in and made the wood a little brittle and caused some discoloration to the wood too. (this was told by the luthier who is fixing my cello right now, I am no expert!). This little fault does not cause a neck to break on it's own though, it'll require an accident like I had!!
I am very happy with the cello. Perfect price - quality ratio for a beginner. Someone more advanced might want a cello with a little softer, warmer sound to it.

Ensimmäinen selloni. Ostin läpällä hakeakseni inspiraatiota kitaran ja basson soitteluun. Virittäminen hankalaa koska koneisto toimii miten toimii jos toimii ja kielet löystyvät tosi helposti. Kaveri joka oikeasti soittaa selloa sanoi että tämä on ihan hirveä. Mulle ihan ok hauskanpitoväline mutta jos tosissaan aikoo selloa opetella soittamaan niin suosittelen satsaamaan parempaan.
