This simple extension is very handy for many situations - attach to a clamp and you can mount a mic under a cymbal or hi-hit, or on a lectern. Use them with an adapter on the end of a long boom for hanging your mics vertically. Many times I've found a use to extend a mic clip or mount and I like this piece to do it with. Personally I much prefer the 5/8" thread and being US-made it uses this size, but you can use adapters if needed. It's strong yet light as it has good material of the right thickness, and very affordable. I keep finding more uses for this little bar that doesn't look like much yet is so versatile. Twice now I have ended up adding another one to my next order! No problems with quality, cut of the thread, the paint or any other detail I can find.

Not only good for SM7B

Of course I bought the Shure SM7B and mounted it on a Samson MBA38 stand. Since then it has served as an extended arm for several other types of microphones. I simply love it!

Pairing with a Shure SM7B and a Blue Compass, this little extender is exactly what I needed to get the mic positioned correctly when reaching around an ultrawide monitor. Well made, very solid and clearly built to last.
