Great for Beginner

I'm a violin player and my wife recently decided to take up cello, so without anywhere local to try one, we decided to take the risk on this since I know Stentor make good quality violins for beginners.

It met my expectations, which is for a playable, ok-sounding instrument. This isn't going to blow anyone away, and you will have to set up the bridge yourself - not that hard but you likely won't get it perfect so if you can get it set up by a luthier, do.

The sound is good, not exceptional, loses something as you move up the neck, but good for the basics and certainly fine to learn on.

The overall quality is decent - no major flaws to be found, tuning is stable, fine tuners are smooth and it looks the part - but it's nothing special. This is a utilitarian, basic machine for learning, and that's exactly what it should be.

Sehr gutes Einsteiger Cello mit Potenzial

Nachdem ich meiner Frau zu Weihnachten 2015 ein 3/4 Cello geschenkt hatte, sagte uns ihre Lehrerin dass sie ein 4/4 braucht, denn nur Kinder lernen an einem 3/4.

Ok dachten wir, also muss es doch ein 4/4 sein, und nachdem uns der sehr kullante Thomann-Service das 3/4 in Zahlung genommen hat, haben wir uns für das Stentor SR1102 Cello entschieden. Nicht nur Optisch macht es einen sehr guten Eindruck, sondern auch beim spielen hat man das Gefühl ein hochwertiges Instrument zu bedienen.

Die Cellolehrerin hatte auch noch "alte" Konzertsaiten, die sie uns gegeben hat, was das Cello auch nochmal aufgewertet hat.

Leider mussten wir nach einiger Zeit den Steg nachschleifen lassen, aber die Cellobauerin war sehr nett und es hat auch nicht sehr viel gekostet...

Was wir jedem empfehlen ist ein Hardcover-Case dazu zu kaufen, weil es wichtig ist das Cello vor Witterung und Stoß zu schützen.

Muy buen sonido

Chello con muy buen sonido y reverberación, fácil afinación, buen acabado y buena relación calidad/precio. Estamos muy satisfechos con él, recomendable 100%.
Con una funda rígida se evitarían golpes innecesarios.
