Fine as blanking panel

This is fine as a blanking panel. One thing to watch out for is its height especially if you mount this above or below a rack adapter or tray.

If you want to use it for another purpose, a few of things to keep in mind:

- It?s made of steel so machining it will take a fair bit of effort (and appropriate machinery and tools).

- It?s not U-shaped, if you mount connectors on it, it will flex.

It is hard to review a black rack panel as actually there are only two or three things that you might check before buying it.

1.) Does it look good? Yes this one does. Who doesn't like black blank rack panels..

2.) Does it work? Hm.. Do you want to cover 1u rack space? Then yes.. it does..

3.) Is it sturdy? Yes. But I wouldn't use it to building a rocket. Or would I? Idk.. I never built a rocket before.

But it is a really nice looking rack panel and even though I moved it in & out of a rack quite often it still looks like new.

Bought just to plug up a small gap in the rack, its smart and simple enough, with my only complaint is it being a little on the flimsy side.

Not an issue in a studio, but a bit worrying for road gear.

saying that, it is only 1u and its more for aesthetic purposes than for taking a beating.
