I bought this mouthpiece on spec as ive been using Vandoren A35 for many years and wanted to try something different. Im very impressed with it, louder and richer sound. It is not quite as wide an opening as i had expected from the reviews and descripton and i might even go for the A7 next. In fact i would say if you have been playing for some time you will easily handle this piece. I even had to put in a stronger reed than i usually use. But oh what lovely tone and control it gives and extra volume with ease. I am using a Rico Plasticover 2 and it is a great combination. Altogether very happy with this and feel that i have moved up a step in my playing.

Perfect to upgrade a cheap sax

I bought a cheap 2nd hand alto to supplement my tenor. This reed makes it playable and for a cheap sax it can make all the difference to the sound

Ideales Upgrade vom 4C

Ich habe vorher das etwas kleinere 5C Mundstück zusammen mit einem Legere Signature 2,5 benutzt und damit bereits einen sehr schönen Sound bekommen. Leider ist mir das Mundstück zusammen mit dem S-Bogen runtergefallen und dabei gebrochen. Als Ersatz habe ich das 6C bestellt, in der Hoffnung, dass es sich selbst als Anfänger (<1 Jahr Spielpraxis) gut spielen lässt. Das 6C ist schon recht gut vergleichbar mit dem 4C oder dem 5C, wobei durch die noch größere Bahnöffnung (1,8 mm statt 1,7 mm beim 5C oder 1,6 mm beim 4C) der Ton lauter wird und man auch leichter lauter oder leiser spielen kann. Für mich das perfekte Upgrade vom 4C oder 5C. Ich konnte exakt das gleiche Legere Blatt einsetzen. Ansprache ist auch top! Als Anfänger auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, gerade in Kombination mit den Legere Signature Blättern! Ich habe auch noch ein Jody Jazz 5M mit einer ähnlichen Bahnöffnung, was sich jedoch wesentlich schwieriger spielen lässt und tendenziell zum quietschen neigt. Beim Yamaha 6C habe ich dagegen absolut keine Problem!! Top!
