Une valeur sûre

Le micro en lui même tient ses promesses, j'ai pris mon temps pour bien choisir et je suis conquise par son rendu. Le seul bémol pour moi, serait un soucis au niveau de la suspension "araignée" j'ai dû remettre plusieurs fois l'une des "pince" en place avant de devoir me résoudre à y mettre du scotch pour ne plus que ça bouge , à mon grand regret ...
Je me suis rendue compte aussi récemment que le joint du câble du micro s'enlevait, je l'ai remis en place et j'espère qu'il y restera, ça me contrarierai d'avoir à en changer après ses quelques inconvénients.
J'ai eu un soucis au départ avec le premier colis où il manquait un câble et où des vises ses baladaient mais Thomann m'a renvoyé un nouveau colis, conforme et assez rapidement :) Merci Thomann.

Ce micro, certainement, ne sera jamais comme le modèle dont il s'inspire. D'ailleurs, aucun des vieux modèles ne semblent sonner pareil.

Enfin. La qualité semble bien là, la boîte est chouette.

Et surtout, sur toute ma gamme de micro (mode home studio), c'est le premier où j'ai vraiment, mais alors vraiment, le son de ma vraie voix.

Aucun regret donc. Même si pas encore beaucoup employé ni sur d'autres sources.

Smooth but sold it later

(2020 update. I sold this mic a few months after this review because of the high self-noise and uneven sound. Warm Audio is tempting but you should spend that 1000 euros on a more solid microphone. This one sounds nothing like a U47 and a SM7 would do a better job more often that this microphone)

I got this mic knowing that it couldn't sound as good as a vintage U47 but I was hoping for something close. I was pleasently suprised when I tested it. The sounds is smooth and silky when some smart EQ is applied. It is solid and big souding. I would describe it as "modern vintage", In a good way. I tested it directly into my DAW and it sounds better than all my other mics. I tried it to tape and it opened up like a flower. There is a little self noise that I noticed but controllable with some smart gain staging. It took a little while to find the sweet spot for my voice but once I got it everything flowed. It doesnt sound like a 10,000 Euro mic but does sound way better than what it costs. I also tried it a room mic with drums. Souded great. Warm Audio is sort of taking over the world right now. The WA-47 is definately worth a try if you like a U47 with your voice. This one will be with me for a while. I'm loving it.

WA47 exelent choice

If you can’t afford a Neumann or more expensive microphone you should look at this as an option. For a long time, I read reviews and analyzed what experts say about WA47. Almost everyone agrees that it is not and will not give color to the sound like the original U47. Almost all reviewers rate it as a top clone very close to the original. So I decided to buy a WA-47.
My review with the equipment I own also bought from Thomann.
Vocals: Patern Cardioid: the frequency response is fantastic (slightly darker than the new modern microphones) and that just gives it warmth and mid-frequencies equal with the whole spectrum of sound. Grade 5
Acoustic instruments: Guitar still, clasic, small piano, and cello. All Patern position, wow that's nice. Even at a longer distance from the instrument with little eq and compression in all patterns it sounds fantastic. Grade 5
Amplifiers: I tested short time, sounds very well but unfortunately I do not have the conditions for this type of recording.
Noise. Reading the reviews of colleagues when they complain I would say the following. Attention should be paid to the resistances in the circuit from the microphone to the card on which the signal is recorded. In my case, the noise does not exist and does not affect the recording.
I recommend this microphone as very good, and I would dare say an excellent purchase
