Tout ce qu'il faut là ou il faut, pour un prix très abordable.
La qualité est au rendez-vous et il possède un beau panel de forme d'ondes.

Unbeatable at the price

I couldn't find any other Eurorack VCO in this price range that offered so many features at the price. The obvious competitors are the Doepfer A110-1 and 110-2 but the Themisto wins out with its suboctave output, sine output and linear FM with attenuator.

I don't have proper test equipment, but as far as I can tell the tracking is very good over the audio range and the waveforms look precise - if you're looking for analogue "quirkiness" and "character" then you may have to add your own.

There are two jumpers on the back to enable v/oct and gate from the Eurorack bus.

Cons: The knobs feel a bit wobbly (even alongside low-cost modules from Doepfer and Behringer) and - although the fine tune knob makes it easy to tune accurately - the slightest touch on the coarse-tune knob knocks it off tune (I'm tempted to just remove the knob). That's why it doesn't get a clean 5 stars.

Documentation is minimal - you know how to use a VCO, right?

Being picky, an octave switch would have been a nice addition, and I'd prefer a layout with controls at the top and jacks at the bottom...

this is a really cool VCO and LFO with lots of different waveforms and other features. it has a really nice sound.

Hochpräzisions VCO zum Budget Preis?

Ein VCO liefert die Grundwellenformen, um Klänge zu erzeugen. Je mehr Wellenformen umso besser, deswegen hat man hier bei diesem Modul den größten Teil an Wellenformen im Zugriff und das auf nur 16TE. Jeder Wellenformausgang liefert ein hohe Qualität an Sound, und das so souverän, dass man hier schon behaupten kann: IO Instruments hat höchsten Wert auf gute Bauteile gelegt. Die angepriesenen Fakten werden gehalten. Angemerkt, das ist ein analoges Modul. Der Sinus klingt wie Butter, Saw kommt gut knackig und die Square Derivate machen alle ordentlichen Druck. In den oberen Tönen bleibt auch alles stabil und es dringen keine Artefakte in die Ohren. Alles bleibt differenziert. Hier empfehle ich jetzt das Youtube Video vom IO Instruments. Die Bedienung geht flott von der Hand, die Aufteilung der Ein- und Ausgänge ist funktional ausgeführt – so ist das Bedienpanel in der Mitte immer frei und gut einzustellen. Die Potis sind schön leichtgängig, aber haben noch etwas Grip. Ein aus Versehen Verstellen ist nicht möglich. Super nützlich sind die gepufferten Ausgänge und das natürlich alles gleichzeitig abgezapft werden kann.
Fantastischer Einstieg einer kleinen Manufaktur in den Eurorack Bereich. Der Themisto ist ein rundum gelungener VCO mit edlem Flair, sowohl klanglich als auch optisch. Es beschleicht einen das Gefühl, dass man kein besseres VCO Modul finden kann und zwar auch nicht weit über der angesetzen Preismarke von 149.- EUR. Hier sind alle wichtigen Klänge und noch mehr auf 12TE versammelt. Unglaublich vielseitig und klangkräftig! Zusätzlich wird man glücklich mit dem LFO Modus. Die liebevolle Verpackung will hier auch nochmal erwähnt werden.
