I've tried many kinds of 8 gauge strings...
These strings last vey long, as long as the Earnie Ball coated 8s (which Thomann no longer stocks).
They sound better and rust incredibly slowly. They also have truly a better sound. I do would like to note that they are a bit thicker than the standard D'addario 8s (which have a 10 gauge high b instead of 11).

Simply great strings
-great sustain
-easy to bend
-sliding feels very smooth

ZZ Top / BFG feel!
Good strings. Tried one on Les Paul as a tribute to Billy Gibbons light strings. Balanced sound, very easy on fingers (especially on Gibson scale), long lasting strings. Clear buy recommendation!
