Great standard mute
It's an aluminium mute, very light and durable. I have always one in my bag because it's cheaper and standard. Many conductors, composers or producer ask for this specific model.
PRO
Cheap but with great quality, Denis Wick knows how to build a mute. It's the best standard straight mute and will fit well on every genre.
I used it on symphonic music, operas, jazz and pop recordings.
It doesn't affect the pitch in any way (while other, more tight mutes, can rise the pitch).
Flow stability and compression are just lightly affected, not even noticeable after some minutes of playing.
It's light and don't tire the player.
CON
The corks are glued to the body and could easily get taken off. Any super glue that works on aluminium will fix a fallen cork.

Very good quality, nice sound, simply the best mute I can find, and at a fairly reasonable price.
The cork parts are good, and do not leave marks, or anything like that, overall it is a very nice bit of kit, essential for any quality trumpeter!

Good mute for price
The mute is of good quality, sounds good, price is a good argument for it. We use it in a small brass band from time to time.

Quality - yes.
It is well made. I use it often and it still looks like new. But the sound is not really my cup of tea. I don't like straight mutes much anyway. But I still have to give it 5 stars for the way it is made.

Sounds good and fits well
I really like the Denis Wick mutes because they fit very well and although I don't have a wide frame of reference, I think they sound pretty good.

Decent mute for the trumpet
When you're in the same room, you won't really notice that the trumpet is muted, however it does mute the trumpet enough to significantly reduce the sound levels in neighbouring rooms.

Exellent, great fit and never falls out, does everything you want from a straight mute, doesn't alter pitch or increase blow rate to my rating, very happy with this item (and the Denis Wick wah wah mute is even more fun)
