Best product Fender could ever produce and what a price!
Sv1k 11.07.2019
My Jaguar bass came with the standard fender bridge, yes the one that starts holding the saddles in place only when it gets rusty, seen that i could not wait that long i started looking for Badass (my jazz bass has one since 1998 and its great) but i could not find it, then i have seen this one and ordered it. The bridge weights 250g against the 100g of the standard bridge, feels sturdy and well machined, bright, shiny. The installation took only few minutes, mostly to remove and reinstalling string as the unscrew / rescrew took 2 minutes, direct replacement.
Pros:
the bass was a neck diver but the extra weight in that position made my bass a better balanced instrument.

Every note rings and added sustain

No more saddles moving around

The adjustment screws are very precise and stay where you leave them.

It changed the look of the instrument in a very good way

Low price for what it is really

Cons: none

Value for money at its finest
AngelosKapa 21.01.2022
Just installed the bridge on my Squier Affinity P Bass. Tried it with my old nickel D'Addarios. Every ear is different so not all people can understand the effect of the Hi Mass bridge. But definitely it provides better sustain. Just record samples before and after the installation and see what you cannot hear.
The bridge was direct bolt on replacement, needed a bit of professional setup job though, as, even at the lower position of the saddles, the strings sat high enough to prevent you from setting the correct action. Also, the G string saddle needed a small alteration so that the string could sit exactly where it should above the pickups, aligned between the pickup poles. If it was a more expenssive bridge I would consider returning it, however, with some fiddling at no extra cost the problem was solved.
Overall I am very happy with my purchase, transformed my cheap daily player into a high quality looking and sounding bass.

Great but fender departments need to talk
Madjon 08.01.2022
Really nice heavy brass bridge but a bit limited in saddle height adjustment.

I've owned a 4 string version of this which I fitted to a Mim jazz, but to get the action anywhere near where I liked it I had to shim the neck quite a bit.

It was the same issue with the 5 string version I fitted to my Hb pjr 5.

The base plate is just a little too thick.

But once shimmed and basses set up it's rock steady, weighty but good and certainly for the 5 string it's made it a superb instrument I wanted to get rid of but now can't.

I took it off the jazz as the shimming just became ridiculous. Surely fender should be aware. I only set my basses up to their specs which works for me.

B
Good value for money from Fender
BentoBaruch 08.09.2023
I just installed this bridge on my Fender Jazz bass and it went without any problem: it took me about five minutes because the holes for the fixing screws perfectly match those of a standard bridge. I can't really judge the impact on the sound because I also immediately replaced the strings with flatwounds, changed the tuning machines and adjusted everything correctly for the first time. However, that was extremely easy: both action and intonation can be adjusted perfectly and easily. A solid and usable product from a reputable manufacturer, for once not at a ridiculously high price.

Amazing choice for a replacement bridge
b8ck8tt 06.01.2022
I've installed these bridges on all my instruments where it fits (Yamaha, Squier), and they took them to a next level. Sturdy, reliable, easy to adjust, comfortable to the touch when playing with a palm-mute. Definitely a recommendation from me.

Beautiful look and sound.
Russian Synth Committee 19.11.2021
Bought to refurb an old fender jazz bass. I found that the increased weight of the bridge gave the guitar a better centre of gravity for my playing style. Sustain is great with this bridge. Adjustment is solid and easy to do, far better than the standard jb bridge which I always found prone to drifting.

Upgraded the bridge on my Squier VM Jazz Bass
Pintspiller 30.04.2023
I started to upgrade the hardware on my Squire Bass. The bridge is very solid and came with allen key for adjusting. I went for the brass as I believe it adds sustain.

The bridge was relatively easy to install. I marked the approx area to have the saddles at for ease of intonating and took a short period of time. Setting intonation took more time than installation.

A bit like upgrading the pickups, there appeared to be little return as far as improved tone or sustain for the money, but looks well on the instrument.

Looks Nice
Grayoid 05.11.2021
Looks Nice but that all. It is a good replacement for and old rusty bridge. The down side is it is a dust-catcher. This makes no audible difference to your bass it just looks nice. Anyone who can hear any difference to a normal bridge should seek help.

Easy to swap, solid bridge.

Very easy to swap. Great upgrade. Much easier to intonate than the standard cheap Squier bridge it replaced. Feels solid and sturdy. Great price.

Are you a BADASS?
Dommy_UK 24.09.2021
If you like the Geddy Lee look on your Jazz bass or the Nate Mendel or Thin Lizzy's Phil Lynott look on your P-bass this is the way to go! Essentially a BADASS II bridge, with Fender stamped on it.
Excellent quality, great range of adjustment and easy to install, the price is very good for this level of quality.
