These are amazing!
Anonymous 17.08.2016
With the addition of a new guitar in the family, I wanted to feel safe knowing that my brand new guitar won't be falling when I pick it up or while I play! I did not want pull out the strap buttons and just screw in a new pair with the locking mechanism. Since that would cause some wear and tear, I'll be it not much, but I'm picky like that so what can you do!

I bought this going "Hey at this price point, even if they're useless I'll be fine" Well... blew me away. Ever since I'm using this my guitar strap won't come off unless I cut it with knife or something. Because it's round like that and fits so snug, it prevents the guitar strap(using a leather one btw) from bending at all from it's weight. So the guitar strap just sits there without it bending at all and there's no way it will ever come off unless you maybe get 2 guys to tug on it.

Brilliant little product from Fender, hat's down!

I recommend this as an alternative to anybody not wanting to screw in new strap lock. Brilliant product!

Simple and effective

Cheap and easy to use.

If you’re looking to secure your strap and don’t fancy fitting a metal locking system, try these instead.

In all the time I’ve used these rubber rings, I’ve never had the strap unexpectedly come off.

Nice idea
Thonk 06.01.2020
Right.

I'm a pro musican of 30 years playing bass, double bass, guitar.

I picked these up to try out, as I usually use strap locks on all my gear. (BTW just moved from Shcaller's to Harley Benton's version after many many years, they're great & 1/3 rd the price!)

I've found these to be nice, & have put then on my daughter's strap.

I'm not going to swop over to these for me however as I move around quite vigorously at times and have been able to pop these off. I was purposely trying to do this BTW to see if I could.

To summarise
- I think these would do you fine if you're no to full-on when playing.
- If you are a bit of a rocker I'd recommend Harley Benton's Strap Locks, extremely good value.

Not really the security I needed.
Agent81 07.10.2021
I got these cause the top strap kept coming off, especially when I would play standing up and had to lift the neck towards me.
The top block would still come off. so I just don't use it anymore. The bottom one stays just fine, but then again that one wasn't the problem to begin with.
All in all, maybe these do help secure the strap but only for slight (I mean Slight) lifts. If you wanna go for some flashy poses or whatever, do not by this. May bad I guess cause I didn't research long enough but it does make me wonder what for are these things in the market.

Pros:
-Cheapish
-They look cool

Why do strap locks even exist at this point?
Anonymous 13.09.2016
Honestly, what a buy.

Pros:
1. Installing the strap blocks is, well, child's play. You just put them on, and you're free to jam in 20 seconds.
2. Stability is just as good as with any sort of expensive strap locks.
3. Value for the price is indescribable.
4. No need to install any outside parts onto your guitar. Very cool.
5. Aesthetically pleasing,

I do not think that the product has any cons.
It's perfect value for the money, and I don't see myself buying strap locks anytime soon, considering how useless and overdone they seem compared to these strap blocks. A very well-designed product, one of my favourites out of all the guitar tools.
I cannot emphasize enough how much I love the simplicity and functionality. I would recommend it to any guitarist.

Flenslock - Fenderstyle
ThomasP424 13.05.2014
The Fender Strap-Blocks are exactly the size of the rubber-rings you usually get with a bottle of Flensburger beer.

Many guitar-players have been using this rubber-rings for years to lock their guitar-strap tightly to their guitar. This works very well and doesn't need any modifications, neither to the guitar, nor to the strap.

The Fender Strap Blocks are cheaper, then the most other strap-lock-system. Although you can get the same amount of rubber-rings (4) + 4 bottles of beer for the same price.

On the plus-side the Fender blocks have a Fender-logo, which improves the look a little bit. And did I mention, that black beerbottle-rubberrings are hard to find?

Useful and okay quality
JavierVidal 16.11.2022
I bought the strap blocks because I already had had an accident with a guitar falling from a worn out strap. These blocks do a good job preventing that. Since they´re made of rubber, it does good not letting the leather holes of the strap slip along the metal of the guitar blots. If there is a defect, is on the durability. I have to take part of the fault since I do change straps quite a lot, whenever you remove the blockers and install them again it does some damage to them. So one of the ones I bought has a little crack already, but still doing its job as long as I leave it. So maybe, if you plan on using more than one guitar, better to let them alone once placed on the guitar. This way I think they can last pretty long. They are good for the price so you can get two for each guitar you have. Also a good thing about the material is that it fits into every type of standard guitar, whatsoever the thickness of the strap.

Could flip my guitar around my neck now!
F. Mirisola 20.09.2020
It is simple, put them around the strapholder after the strap is put on. Then enjoy the rest of your life with that strap stuck to your guitar. They around pretty hard to get on but harder to remove. But thats what you want. Long gigs without being scared about losing the guitar while playing.

-Pros:
-strong

-Cons:
-hard to remove
- the red ones aren't that nice

Extra safety for your instruments.
fommof 11.12.2019
I've been using two of these sets for a few months now on 4 instruments in total (3 electric guitars, one electric base).

Cheap and easy to install, they secure the straps no matter if it's leather ending (even leather gets soften eventually).

I would prefer to have an option to choose the colour (either black or red, not mixed) but to some that's a meaningless detail.
