Not brilliant but pretty good for the price!
JerryDC 28.10.2022
Tried the basses of this package until they had worn out. First impression was really quite astonishing: very bright and open bass tone for such a low price. On a more close listen I had to admit that they also lack a bit of deep bass, but nevertheless I still liked their tonal balance as they were.
Secondly, despite being coated, the tone wore out a lot more quickly than I'd hoped for, almost as if they were not coated. Not being an extremely regular player on my classic guitar, these basses lost their brightness in just a few weeks.
Third thing that was interesting, is the D string that needs a very long time to stabilise and stay in tune. I now put my favourite d'Addario's back on and these needed 3 days to be totally ready for a concert.
4th thing - that astonished me a bit to be honest - was that the A string snapped overnight (just a few days before a concert). This is something that hasn't happened to me in ages anymore. So this tells us something about the strength of the core, and to me at this moment this feature is just that bit too low quality to trust them as my regular set of strings.
That said, I still think they are a lot of bang for the bucks and the low price must show somewhere. For now I'll stick to my known (and much more expensive) d'Addarios but I do hope and encourage Harley Benton to evolve and improve their strings so they mature to a trustworthy, full quality product.

Great value for money strings
DJ Lunatic 07.08.2021
I put these strings on three different guitars and on all of them they sound very nice, check ik out only thing to be improved is the D-string which gets detuned much faster than the rest (however this is gone after 3 weeks or so). I don't think I will go back to D'Addario :)

Need classic guitar strings? Strangely these are the best!
Bel20 09.09.2019
I’m not a professional player but these strings keep tune very well, have some harder tension than all the previous sets I had and do not corrode and sound fantastic even after a long time on the guitar. Great quality!
I like them better compared to the sets of the same brand for electric and acoustic.

Good sound and longevity for almost no money

Very nice full sound on all the strings, even bass ones. The coating doesn't feel weird under the fingers and extends the life by quite a lot.

These strings are superb for the price.

Another unbelievable value from Thomann. These strings sound close to more expensive brands and play just as nicely. Considering the price, I am totally satisfied with these.

Good strings

Very affordable and decent strings for everyday use in a cheap student guitar. Better use these strings and change them more often than more expensive ones and keep them forever.

Overall good bang for buck, lost shimmer quickly
ukris 27.02.2024
Overall it’s a reliable set of strings. Settles into a tuning relatively quickly, and I’ve got a set on my classical guitar for quite a while now (over a year, I reckon), so not prone to breaking. Now the strings were already on the dull side after having installed them, but they also lost their shimmer very quickly. With that being said, they’re still not totally dead sounding, even though the guitar has been in use almost daily for 30-45 minute sessions.

Wouldn’t recommend for recording, but for a set on a practice guitar / for music school, it’s definitely acceptable.
