This is a good keyboard stand that is obviously well made, but it's worth pointing out a couple of things before prospective buyers take the plunge with this.

1:- Small mono synths and keyboards of less than 26.378" in width will be too small for this stand as the width of the arms are not fully adjustable.

2:- There is some lateral movement when playing. Your Keys will wobble if you play remotely hard on this.

The height adjustability of this stand is great though and although there is wobble, weirdly it does not feel too unstable. Very quick set up time fore this stand too.

A
Worst stand i have ever owned
Anonymous 03.12.2015
Had this for 3 years, was very well looked after, always laid flat in my car, was onstage recently, had 2 keyboards on it, the stand collapsed and keyboards ended up on the floor, K&M sent me a warranty replacement, but i sold it immediately, if your a tall keyboard player, this is NOT for you, i wouldn't buy another K&M keyboard stand again, though their 18950 and 18953 stand is excellent, i dont recommend a Spider Pro to anyone, it looks good, but thats about it, the collapsing also happened to my friends stand in Dubai!

I have used these for many years now. It handles large weighted keys but still relatively compact and quick to pack away. I love the way there is room on the floor by your feet for pedals and controllers and the added laptop stand on the top is very handy. I always get comments from other band members about how great it looks on stage.

S
Coolest
Stefan4584 13.10.2014
This is still one of the coolest stands out there in my opinion. I have tested many double tier stands and this one has the best looks and is one of the more stable ones. Especially for the top tier, it is rock solid even when you extend the arms fully. The bottom tier however is slightly wobbly sideways. I have experimented with different keyboards, stage pianos and an ironing board and they all wobble. It does not affect playing really unless you are going for some sort of speed record hammering session.

The rest of the construction is solid and stable. And heavy, more than you would think. After using this on stage for a while with both tiers full I have now decided to only use the stand in my studio. For use on stage I would recommend a well programmed synthesizer with a soft case and a simple lightweight single tier stand. Unless you have roadies, then go meshuggah!!!

A
Great Keyboard stand!
Anonymous 02.03.2015
I purchased this stand in Oct '12 and it is now March '15, I have been gigging with this stand ever since. Thats an average of 4 gigs a week!

An essential purchase if like me you play both Keys and Guitar(Guitar FX boards like the Fractal audio MFC-101 fit between the spider legs!)

Very sturdy construction, Well able to take my Fantom X6 on the top tier and Motif 7 on the bottom tier with no fear of the arms giving way.

Also has the added benefit of being able to mount a microphone boom stand on top of the main chassis thus saving on set-up time and Valuable stage space!

Although I tend to take care of my equipment i.e most of my gear is flight cased, I chose to forego any type of bag/case for the Spider Pro and apart from a few scrapes there has been no service affecting damage sustained since Oct '12, a very reassuring fact!

Screw with plastic head are bad quality, should be better. In a year I change it 3 times. Screws on the screw come out and you can no longer tighten. I tighten the screws gently.

Superb

The best stand for live work that I've ever owned. If I could suggest a small improvement, it's that there's an Ultimate Support-style handle on the user-facing panel which would help a great deal with getting the stand into and out of its carrying bag.
