My expiriense with oneshots

The sound of this shakers is very sharp and clear. Using pair I can create very different rhythmic patterns. It also good when I have to duplicate the rhythmic of some exclusive part of song.
Another side of comfortability of this product that it grips on finger and hold any instrument whether it additional shaker or for tambourine. I can also combine it with playing a lot of instruments which are: Djembe, Cajon, Darbuka even a guitar. During experience with one shot shakers I've created some technique that combines clapping different rhythmic patterns with shaking. It always adds good sounded 16nth notes to any groove you will play. And you have the ability to stop in any bit of your groove because it gives one shot to one side while you shake it.
Since I've received this one shot shakers I use it in many song in my home recording and it gives nice tone of closed hi-hat which I liked so much.

Shakers?
Anonymous 05.04.2016
I bought a pair of these for use with my snare cajon in my custom cajon drum kit. They do what it is said they do. They are quite precise and there is no sound when you raise your hand back, they speak only on your down stroke. This is truly great! But, the sound character is where I'm still trying somehow to like them. This is not your soft, mellow, white-noisy shaker that simply fills the beat, but they come with a character that sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. It's a metallic, almost a tiny tambourine sound, a bit on the aggressive side. It's great for louder playing, but in softer settings they don't work too well for my taste. I'm already thinking of opening them up and replacing the material with something that would give a softer sound.

Awesome little travel buddies

Good loudness, good tone, crisp sound. Love them. I take them with me on travel for random jamming sessions instead hand percussion instruments. The only thing I've worried about is the rubber - but unlike on some Meinl instruments, these have proven to be sturdy on these LPs.
(Depending on how one holds them, they might hurt a little)

Great addition to percussion kit
Justin Z. 27.08.2016
I bought these after seeing a friend play with them on a calabash, which is a type of gourd. I purchased two of them and they really add another level of depth to my percussion playing. They have a good high and tight sound, and only one active striking surface so when you're playing wearing them, they have a very nice rhythmic capacity. They can really accompany any kind of percussion, I use them with my African ashiko drum, my handpan, and I have even tried them on my guitar, which seems to be kind of difficult but an interesting expirement. They have held up well, seem to be well made, and are affordable and small so they fit in a side pouch or pocket easily.

Sounds great with my cajon. Almost a must have for all cajon players. First unit broke in 5 mins, got a replacement immediately. No more issue.

NV
good sound, but extremely uncomfortable
Nathan V. 27.10.2021
The sound is fine, but it hurts to use. The hard plastic of the shaker pushes against your finger every time you hit something, and the band is way too tight.

A
Very cool, novel idea
Anonymous 03.11.2016
So the shaker only works on a downstroke which creates some interesting rhythms.

You don't even need to think about it. just put it on (elastic that goes around a finger) and just play quietly and most mics will pick it up. Great for drum set and hand percussion.
