You can't do better for the price!
We have 2 of these at church for Ethernet cables, and apart from the retaining part inside the drum coming loose I can't find anything to complain about. There's a small push fit retainer that holds the reel to the frame and with lots of use this comes loose and falls out, not difficult to refit, just takes a hammer!
Having the extra side cable store is really helpful as we have one cable that doesn't need fully unwinding and it means we can leave a little from the middle available, many reels don't have this and we'd miss it.
Plenty of holes for looping cables through and a clamp to engage to stop the cable unwinding in storage/transit.
Our cables are 30 and 40m and there's plenty of room left so I'd bet anything up to 150m of standard Ethernet would be fine.

Great cable drum. Plastics and metal parts feel perfect
This cable drum does exactly for what it is meant. The quality feels fine and the anti-roll break is good enough. This my second order and fourth drum of this type. I use it for 30 meter xlr cables and for 50 meter sdi cables. I do recommend this drum. In reality it is the same drum as the Varytec Universal Drum which was sold for 9,90 euro but now is taken out. I guess upping the price 4 euro was considered less 'ethical' then giving it a new name at a higher price. Still it is worth the money absolutely

Very Convenient
Really handy! Cuts down on wrapping up cables. Have a ethernet cable that was so awkward to wrap up. No problem with this cable drum. I must buy for anyone with cables.

Nice cord reel
We use this to roll our DMX cables on. Works like a charm. Much better than oversized hose reels.

Does the job well. The front secondary winding has very small screws in so comes off quite easily but with longer screws it is a solid attachment. Ours arrived with a chunk of the front reel face snapped off but it doesn't affect usage at all. Very stable when standing and loaded with cable, enough to be able to pull it off the reel from across a room with no issue

Handy for studio or live
This is one of those convenient products that isn't particularly sexy but is actually very useful. I do a lot of mobile recording applications, often where time is tight so getting in and setting up and packing down quickly is required. The cable drum makes life a lot easier, I used to have a box full of (carefully!) coiled XLRs, but they'd always end up in a tangle; this takes up less space, is easy to carry and is fast and easy to deploy, and more importantly makes packing down more efficient, which is great at the end of a long session.
Overall quality feels good, there's also a handy little locking wedge to stop the reel rotating when you don't want it to. All in all, a good buy.

Extremely good value for money.
Very good quality item for the price. The metal frame construction is very sturdy and feels hard wearing, the plastic drum is also of a good construction and does not feel brittle like some plastic drums. I bought four of these drums and have managed to fit around thirty metres of 4 x 2.5mm cable on each one so you should easily be able to fit fifty metres or more of 2 x 2.5mm cable. There are convenient plastic cable grips around the outside of the drum which is very useful in stopping the cable unravelling while in storage or transport. Overall, a great product at a great price, highly recommended!

Honest for the price.
I also have other cable drums, many of them are stronger than this. But this one for SDI and XLR cable is just fine, considering the price.
The metal is a little weak, but the plastics are good and for now I've never broke one (and I have 10 of them).

used with 30M cat5 cable
Bought to hold a 30M cat5 cable for a behringer mixer. does the job. Plastic is a bit flimsy on the sides - will bend (but not break, so that may be a blessing) and if you thread a cable through the side then it's in your way for winding. That said, it does the job satisfactorily, and for the price, it's absolutely fine. Not suitable for rough use, but just the job for those longer cables, especially if your roadies will insist on coiling your cables like washing line..
